The final boss of the clinic pen hoarders. ๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ๐Ÿ‘น

Asking Kristi if sheโ€™s seen your pen is a trap. She hasnโ€™t seen it; itโ€™s just become part of her permanent uniform now. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Good luck getting it back!

Veterinary Zombie Mode: Activated. ๐ŸงŸโ€โ™‚๏ธโ˜•

When you think you're having a deep heart-to-heart with a colleague about your sleep habits, but the camera pans out and you're just standing there alone with a sad trombone. ๐Ÿ˜‚ We promise we aren't actually losing it... probably.

โ€˜Iโ€™m on vacation, every single day โ€™cause I love my occupation!โ€™ ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿฆ

Bringing the holiday vibes straight to the front desk to survive this absolute oven of a UK heatwave! โ˜€๏ธ The ladies are living their best lives with ice cream and shades, while the guys provide our premium clipboard A/C service. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Stay cool out there, everyone! ๐ŸงŠ๐Ÿพ

When you have to use your best 'serious vet voice' to call 'Boris Johnson' or 'Cooking Fat' from the waiting area. ๐Ÿ“‹๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

We absolutely love our uniquely named patients, even if it means we occasionally embarrass ourselves in reception! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Drop your pets' names below!

Itโ€™s Team Tuesday! ๐ŸŽ‰ We are so excited to introduce you to the newest Veterinary Surgeon to join the SigmaVet family!

Seren is bringing years of veterinary experience, a very stylish scrubs wardrobe , and a keen eye for surgery and dentistry. She has seamlessly fitted into our talented team, and we canโ€™t wait for you to meet her.

Serenโ€™s favourite holiday recommendation is Turkey, which is where she is originally from, but anywhere with sea and sand is a good place to be in her opinion!

She is a devoted mum to her 16-year-old British Shorthair cat, BamBam, and enjoys spending time with her husband at the weekend, exploring new cities and trying local food.

Seren is also aimingto complete a certificate in soft tissue surgery in the near future, helping her continue to develop her surgical skills and provide even more advanced care for our patients.

We are very lucky to have the lovely Seren, and we are confident you will feel the same!

Letting fate decide the rest of the shift at reception. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿ““๐Ÿ˜…

Oh dear, would you look at that? The candle went out. Clearly a sign to clock out and return to the break room. Best not to argue with the elements! ๐Ÿ˜‚

On the 28th of April, we had an absolutely wonderful time welcoming the 8th March St Wendredas Rainbows and Brownies to the practice!

We started off with our usual presentation on the big screen lead by our presentstion champion Anne , chatting all about the essentials of responsible pet ownership, daily needs, and how to keep our furry friends happy and healthy.

Then came the highlight of the eveningโ€”the behind-the-scenes tour lead by one of our Super Nurses Kristi ! Using our mock-up cat, the girls got a hands-on look at exactly what happens in our clinical areas, including our prep theatre, kennels, X-ray room, and bloods lab. They loved learning about:

How anaesthesia works, taking bloods, and placing catheters
The importance of maintaining sterility in the operating room (the girls did a brilliant job interactively opening sterile drapes and instrument pouches!)
How both dental and full-body X-rays help us care for our patients
Instead of just snapping pictures this time, we put together a little reel so you can see all the fantastic behind-the-scenes action for yourselves! Hit play below to see our future vets and nurses in action ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ‘‡

Thank you so much to the 8th March St Wendredas Rainbows and Brownies for such a brilliant visit. We loved showing you around! ๐Ÿพโœจ

The truth hurtsโ€ฆ but dental disease hurts more! ๐Ÿฆท๐Ÿพ

If brushing your dogโ€™s teeth currently feels like an Olympic sport, don't give up. It takes time, patience, and a lot of treats to get them used to it. Keep trying! (And if you need tips on how to make it easier, our team is always happy to help). ๐Ÿ’™

At 18:29 when closing is at 18:30... the desk ninja skills are activated! ๐Ÿคฃ

Dropping below the counter at record speed to avoid that last-minute enquiry.

(But in all honesty, we are so lucky with our reception staff. They regularly go above and beyond, staying way past closing time to ensure all the daily tasks are finished and everyone is cared for before they finally leave). ๐Ÿฅฐ

We meanโ€ฆ heโ€™s not technically wrong? ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›

When the vet asks for an urgent CAT scan and you just have to improvise based on what you know. Not quite sure how helpful that A4 printout is going to be for the diagnosis! ๐Ÿ˜‚

POV: you work in veterinary medicine and genuinely believe 2 hours of sleep is enough to function. โ˜•๐Ÿ˜‚

Meanwhile youโ€™re sat at the desk getting increasingly frustrated because your stapler wonโ€™t move the cursor.
