🐾 National Stray Cat Awareness Day 🐾
Today we shine a light on the stray and community cats who quietly share our streets, gardens and neighbourhoods. These cats often rely on the kindness of people around them — and there’s so much we can do to make their lives safer and healthier. 💛
😺 How you can help:
• Provide fresh water — a simple bowl can be a lifeline.
• Offer shelter — a dry, safe spot in bad weather makes a huge difference.
• Feed responsibly — regular feeding helps keep them healthy, but always monitor for signs of ownership.
• Support TNR (Trap‑Neuter‑Return) — it’s the most humane and effective way to reduce suffering and stabilise cat populations.
• Report injured or sick cats — they deserve care just as much as any pet.
• Work with local rescues — they’re the backbone of community cat support.
Stray and community cats aren’t “nobody’s cats” — they’re part of our communities, and they thrive when we look out for them. 🖤🐱
Let’s use today to raise awareness, show compassion, and make sure every cat has a chance to live safely and with dignity. 🌍💚🐾
