Sorry folks...
Walks are cancelled today as of now. The temperature has just come up too high & fast to risk the health of walking any further dogs.
The rest of the day is garden/comfort visits only. Everyone booked in today has been individually contracted.

If anyone needs anything please give me a shout.

*****REMINDER FOR ALL CLIENTS*****
I AM ON HOLIDAY FROM FRIDAY 11th SEPTEMBER (I'm leaving afternoon of Thursday 10th!!!) - SUNDAY 20th SEPTEMBER.
I will return to work 8am Monday 21st September.

I'll send an individual reminder to everyone in the next few days.

There will be follow up reminders between now & 1/9/26.

Hi folks, looks like one of those weeks again ☀️
I'm going to have to take each day as it comes & if it gets too hot walks will have to be cancelled in favour of garden visits again.

What a week eh 🤯
Thankfully the heatwave is over & we can get back to doing what we love. Can't wait to see all your woofers this coming week. Back to normal tomorrow morning 🐾

WALKS CANCELLED.
It's 27 degrees already at 9:30am. This is purely for your dogs welfare.
I will be doing garden visits for the rest of the day, everyone with bookings today have been contacted. Realistically looking at the temperature the rest of this week I can't see any dogs being walked after 8:30am.
Please give me a call if you have any concerns at all.

It's brutal - but it's the truth. Pets DO die in hot weather and don't ever be naive enough to think it won't happen to you. 🌡️☀️

⚠️ PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. ⚠️

The harsh reality is, we see a dramatic increase in families needing our services during heatwaves. Which is great from a business perspective, but as fellow animal lovers and pet owners, it's devastating.

We are urging anybody reading this to please BE RESPONSIBLE with your pets during the extreme heat that is forecast this week.

🌡️ REMEMBER:

- Never leave your pet unsupervised outside on hot days. While you are away, keep your pet indoors with air conditioning/fans.

- If you do need to go outside, ensure your pet has access to fresh water, shade, and shelter away from direct sunlight.

- Take your daily walk in the early morning, before temperatures reach dangerous levels.

- Never leave your pet alone in a parked car. Heat quickly builds to deadly levels in a closed car, even on sunny days that aren’t hot.

- Keep brachycephalic breeds (Pug, Bulldog types, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apsos, Pekingese, Bull Mastiffs etc), elderly and obese pets, and those with heart or lung disease inside your cool home except for short outdoor bathroom breaks.

- Keep a particularly close watch on your pet if they are elderly (7+ years), has existing health problems or if they are pregnant.

🌡️ SIGNS OF HEATSTROKE:

- Excessive panting
- Excessive drooling
- Difficulty breathing
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea, with or without blood
- Weakness
- Incoordination or stumbling
- Sudden collapse

Your pet will forgive you for being strict on heatstroke prevention for a couple of days. You can never be too careful.

Right folks, it's going to be one of those weeks again ☀️☀️☀️
Realistically walks are pretty much going to be cancelled in favour of garden visits if they fall into the afternoon, possibly earlier if the heat gets too much earlier on. This is purely to keep your dogs safe from the risk of heatstroke.
If you are home with your woofers please let me know so priority can be given to the dogs that are home alone during working hours.

Hi folks, it's cooler today so walks are going ahead providing it doesn't get too hot later. Obviously every care will be taken & if I think any dogs are getting too warm I'll be bringing them home early.

Right folks walks are cancelled today. It's almost 27 degrees at 8:10am and it will be too unsafe for dogs to be walked. I'll be reaching out to all bookings again this morning. Priority will be given to dogs that are home alone so please let me know if you're home with your dog.
