It’s Ginger cat appreciation day 🧡🐾

Did you know a whopping 80% of ginger cats are male!
The gene that creates the ginger colour lives on the X chromosome. They only need one copy of the ginger gene to be ginger where as a female cat needs it from both parents.

Here’s the very handsome Bob ~ like most ginger cats he’s friendly, very affectionate and in his heyday very playful. He now likes to find the comfiest spot for his favourite hobby…. Sleeping 😴😻

Back in January Head Nurse Elise tied the knot 💒
And now she’s finally off on her honeymoon ✈️

Once she returns she will be starting her next adventure at another practice.
We are so very proud of all the hard work she has put into Manchester Fort Vets for Pets, the knowledge she has shared, the care given to all the patients through our doors and not forgetting the daily disco with the best music 🎵

We have found a female dog who is microchipped and is currently safe with us at the practice.

We are trying to locate her owner. If you recognise her, or know someone who may be looking for her, please get in touch with the practice as soon as possible.

Meet Delta ~ a colleague pet 🐾

Delta came in to see our vet Alex after one side of her nose started to swell over the course of a couple days. She’s had life long skin issues and thankfully isn’t partial to playing with bees or in nettles despite how she looks 😅
In true style, she was treated like a princess by our lovely CCA Dylon 🥰 🐾

Meet Koji 🐾

Koji came into the practice with a sore eye. He was seen by our vet Neel and started on a treatment plan.
The following day his owners spotted something that didn’t look quite right and sent over pictures via WhatsApp.
Once reviewed he was asked to come straight down where Neel, with the help our Head Nurse Elise, managed to get the object out… a grass seed 🌱

As you can see from the second picture, he was like a whole new puppy the next day! 🥰
