Who's got a ball obsessed dog? Who cant walk their dog without a ball thrower? If this is the case... consider yourself a hostage to your own dog 🤪
A lot of people obsess their dog with a ball from an early age , understandable as it is far and away the easiest way to walk your dog. You dont have to move, your dog gets knackered quickly and they absolutely love it. The trouble is that bit of fun with the ball suddenly becomes a major addiction to your dog.
The negatives are this 👇
● Major resource guarding issues ❗️
● Bad behaviours such as barking and jumping up❗️
● All dog manners go completely out of the window until they get the ball ❗️
People end up in this cycle because their dog becomes that obsessed that its easier just to give them the ball ASAP, usually by straight up demanding it off their owner as soon as their lead is unclipped. The problem is owners are rewarding bad habits, so you end up stuck in this cycle of HAVING to walk your dog with the ball every single time you go on a walk. You're being held hostage 😂.
If this sounds familiar, snap the cycle guys. Its completely unnecessary and does more harm than good. Use as a reward not a necessity!
