🚨 Moons is running out of time to find the right home, and we urgently need your help!

Just a few weeks ago, Moons made the journey from Romania to the UK, ready to start a new chapter. Unfortunately, things haven’t gone quite as planned, and he’s now facing the possibility of returning to the shelter.

Moons has been staying with an emergency foster family, where he’s made wonderful progress in a very short time.

His emergency foster placement is coming to an end, and we urgently need to find him a foster-to-adopt home. ❤️‍🩹

Could you offer Moons the home he needs?

🐾 At 32kg, Moons needs someone confident handling larger dogs.
🐾 He needs an adult-only home and can live with another calm, neutral dog.
🐾 A garden isn’t essential, provided he gets consistent walks.
🐾 His family must be willing to work with ROLDA UK and a Clinical

Animal Behaviourist to help him settle and manage his excitement, nerves and resource-related behaviours.

ROLDA will cover the initial costs of behavioural support, which may include medication if recommended. Our UK Adoptions Manager is also a certified behaviourist and will help guide his new family.

Moons is neutered, travels well in the car and has tested negative for brucella, leishmania, heartworm, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis and Lyme disease.

He’s an affectionate, enthusiastic boy who adores people, loves his walks and is obsessed with his toys. With the right family and continued support, we know he has the potential to be an incredible companion.

If you could offer Moons a foster-to-adopt home, please email [email protected].

Please help us reach the right family by sharing his story. Every share brings Moons closer to the home he deserves. ❤️

🚨 Moons is still looking for his forever home, and we urgently need your help! ❤️‍🩹

This gorgeous boy travelled all the way from Romania to the UK in search of a better life, but unfortunately, things haven’t quite gone to plan.

Moons is a big, affectionate boy who absolutely adores people. He loves his walks, is obsessed with his toys and gets so excited to see you that his whole body wiggles. He’s full of personality and has so much love to give.

Understandably, adjusting to a completely new life has been overwhelming for him, and he needs a family who can give him the time and support to continue building his confidence.

His emergency foster placement is coming to an end on Friday, and we’re desperately trying to find him a foster-to-adopt home so he doesn’t have to return to the shelter.

We’re looking for a special family who can offer Moons the stability and long-term commitment he deserves.

Here’s what you need to know about Moons:

🐾 He’s a big boy at 32kg, so his new family must be confident handling larger dogs.

🐾 He needs an adult-only home

🐾 He can live with another calm dog

🐾 A garden isn’t essential, provided he receives consistent walks.

🐾 His new family must be willing to work with ROLDA UK and a Clinical Animal Behaviourist to help him manage his excitement, nerves and resource-related behaviours. This may include medication if recommended, with initial costs covered by ROLDA.

🐾 He is neutered, travels well in the car and has tested negative for brucella, leishmania, heartworm, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis and Lyme disease.

Moons has already shown us how much progress he can make with patience and consistency. We know that with the right family, he has every chance of becoming an incredible companion.

❤️‍🩹 Could you be the person who gives Moons his second chance?

If you’d like to offer Moons a foster-to-adopt home or find out more, please contact [email protected].

When the war in Ukraine began, the lives of thousands of animals were turned upside down…

Some were left behind as their families were forced to flee, while others were found injured or trying to survive in communities devastated by war.

Thanks to our ROLDA Heroes, more than 27,000 animals have been rescued and given the chance to leave that fear behind.

The transformations you see are what those rescue missions make possible. Animals who have experienced so much can finally feel safe again and begin a completely different chapter of their lives.

There are still countless animals waiting for that same second chance.

Until 15 October, every donation towards our Ukraine response is being matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000. Your support can help our ROLDA Heroes continue reaching animals who desperately need them.

Our ROLDA Heroes see some incredibly heartbreaking cases 😔

In areas affected by conflict, emergency support for animals caught directly in the crisis is essential. At the same time, everyday rescue work cannot stop.

Animals are still abandoned. They still become sick and injured, and they still need emergency veterinary care. The people trying to help them are doing so while resources are already incredibly stretched.

That’s why your support of our ROLDA Heroes matters so much.

When this senior dog was found in Palestine, he had been lying on the street unable to walk for almost two weeks. He had suffered severe injuries, his wounds were badly infected, and by the time our ROLDA Hero was contacted, he desperately needed medical attention.

Your support meant we could help our ROLDA Hero step in and get him to a veterinary hospital, where he received the intensive treatment he needed to survive.

He still has a long recovery ahead of him, but he is eating and getting stronger. Most importantly, he now has the opportunity to experience a very different life from the one he was rescued from. ❤️‍🩹

🚨 Moons is looking for a special family who can give him the time and support he needs to settle into his new life in the UK.

Originally from Romania, Moons arrived in the UK two weeks ago and has since found himself in an emergency foster home.

He is an enthusiastic, friendly boy with so much love to give, and we know he will make an incredible adventure companion for the right family.

However, Moons can only stay with his emergency foster family for one more week, and we urgently need to find him a home. We desperately want to avoid him returning to the shelter after all the progress he has made.

Understandably, moving to a new country and adjusting to a different home and routine has been overwhelming. Thankfully, he is in wonderful hands and is already coming on leaps and bounds. We want to find a family who can continue that progress and help him feel safe and confident.

We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home with a family who can offer Moons the long-term commitment he deserves. ROLDA UK will cover the initial cost of a Clinical Animal Behaviourist to help him settle.

Moons loves his toys, adores his walks, is learning to cope on his own and is the wiggliest boy when meeting new people. He will need support with settling in, managing his excitement and nerves, and feeling comfortable around resources.

He needs a special home:

🐾 At 32kg, Moons needs someone confident handling larger dogs.

🐾 Garden or consistent walks.

🐾 Adult-only home.

🐾 He can live with another calm, neutral dog.

🐾 His family must be willing to work with ROLDA and a Clinical Animal Behaviourist, which may include medication. Initial costs will be covered by ROLDA.

He is neutered and has tested negative for brucella, leishmania, heartworm, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis and Lyme disease.

If you could offer Moons the right home, or would like more information, please contact [email protected].

Even if you cannot foster or adopt, sharing his story could help us reach the family he is waiting for. ❤️

Tyra hasn’t had the easiest start in life, and right now, the world can still feel like a very big place. ❤️‍🩹

Before coming to ROLDA, Tyra had very little experience of life outside the shelter or of spending time with people. New situations can feel overwhelming, but in calm surroundings where she feels safe, we can see she’s starting to take those important little steps forward.

Tyra is kind by nature and allows our team to gently handle and care for her. She gets along well with other dogs and could live with a confident canine companion who may help her feel more secure.

What she needs now is a patient, experienced family who understands shy dogs and will give her the time she needs to discover that the world can be a safe and happy place.

Tyra is around 10kg and is available for adoption in the UK and Sweden.

You can also sponsor Tyra from anywhere in the world while she waits for the right family.

Our ROLDA Hero, Ruslan, was struck by a drone on a recent mission to evacuate animals near the frontline in Ukraine

Up to three times a week, he travels into high-risk areas where animals have been left behind, helping evacuate them to safety.

Since the war began, these missions have helped save more than 27,000 animals, but countless more still need help.

The danger facing the people trying to reach them is also growing.

Our ROLDA Heroes are determined to keep saving animals, but we need to help protect them while they do it.

We are raising funds towards a second-hand, fully armoured vehicle that will give our rescuers greater protection as they continue these lifesaving missions.

Until 15 October, every donation is being matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000, so your gift can take us twice as far towards getting them the vehicle they urgently need.
