Atherton Retriever Walking expands, sorry.. Atherton Dog Walking* expands! 🦮

Meet Ted, the huge, most gentle-natured Golden Retriever you’ll ever see. 🤍

If I told you all the back story as to why this good boy is even with us today, there wouldn’t be a dry eye in the feed. Ted, I’m so grateful you and your owner picked me to be your walker. 🙌🏻

Now.. I think that puts us at a record of 45 dogs on our books, I’m “probably” going to close the winter recruitment now and focus on my amazing roster of dogs. That being said, if you have a very well behaved dog and you don’t mind it being walked at 1:00pm on a Thursday in Atherton, I could make something work… 👀

If Carlsberg did first walks.. 😍

Meet Stanley, the Cavapoo! From the meet and greet, I just knew. Instantly came and sat on my lap, so loving, gentle and well tempered. 🐶

Most importantly as a pack walker he is EXCELLENT with other dogs. ⭐️

Not to blow smoke up my own arse but Stanley’s owner contacted me 2 years ago, explaining that they’re planning on getting a dog and how they’d love for me to walk it. 2 years later, here’s Stanley. 👌🏻

It’s little wins as an independent dog walker like that, that keeps you wanting more. Someone spent a whole TWO YEARS with just your services in their eyesight?! Wow. Welcome Stanley. ❤️🤯

Just a quick one to those who are eyeing up my services, I am currently at a record number of 43 dogs on my books, with two more dogs starting in the coming weeks! 🤯

I am posting this because I don’t know how many more dogs I can physically take on, as most of you know I run this business all by myself, I’m the definition of a one man band. 👦🏻

As always, dogs MUST be sociable, fit and ready to partake in 1hr group walks! 🫁

I’ve been considering opening up a few more pack walks, a tad later in the day a few days a week. Let’s see how much interest I get in them before I make my mind up. 🫡

As always, I appreciate the constant interest, enquiries and recommendations! Blows my mind because I never actually “advertise”. Imagine doing something you love daily with the best animals in the world, imagine.. 🐶

After 2 days of using these, 19 and 18 dog days back to back. I can confidently say/ask, why did I not invest in them sooner? 🤯

This post won’t mean much to some people (or to most), to me it means the world. 🌎

When I started Atherton Dog Walking 7 1/2 years ago, I always promised myself I’d wait until I “deserved” a “proper” crate system. 🤔

My old system was “ok” but I was quickly growing into one of the most reputable dog walkers in the area, so it was about time I matched that reputation with the best of the best equipment! 🦴

Safety, comfort, crash tested, each dog travels like a king (or queen). 👑

Dream crate system - achieved. ✅

What milestone can we hit next? 😅

Bonnie’s owner was worried about how she’d get on but like always, dogs get into that pack environment and THRIVE! 🤩

We’ve had Heidi the Beared Collie with us as a “temp” since last Thursday, it’s her last day with us tomorrow as her owners are back from holiday! 🏖️

Luckily, Heidi fit into the packs like a glove from the beginning! She’s been very well behaved considering she’s completely new and doesn’t know any of my dogs in the slightest. 🐶

Contrary to the point made above, she’s probably the last temporary dog I’ll take on for a while. It’s time to put my full focus into my current roster of dogs! 🐕

Heidi, I’m glad YOU were our last temp! 😁

Meet Toby, the German Spitz! 🐶🇩🇪

Toby completed his first walk with us today! Nothing quite beats adding a new dog into the mix and having them fit straight in, like they were meant to be there. 😊

Toby (like every dog who starts) will be on the lead until I get to know him more but most importantly, whilst all the other dogs get to know him more! 🙌🏻

This process usually takes a week or two and then he will be off-lead for the remainder of his time at Atherton Dog Walking, living his best life. 🙏🏻

I say this everytime, I always think I’m full. Then the right dog, for the right pack, lands straight in front of me. 😂
