So..Flo is18 months old today, and this is a summary of our training journey, without pain, or fear π
Flo walks beautifully on the lead π
She is a confident and robust dog, who takes life in her stride πΎ
Happy at the vet π
She is 'neutral' to much of the environment including people, cats, horses, cows, traffic π
Recall pretty good π
She toilets outside with no accidents π
She LOVES other dogs, but is accepting that she can't greet and play with them all π
She can be happily left alone for up to 4 hours π
She shows no signs of resource guarding, items, food, people or places π
She welcomes people into our busy home π
She knows in excess of 20 cues π
She will get into the car, with encouragement π
Areas for work π
Passing dogs calmly at close proximity (aka minding her own business πππ€£)
Ignoring other dogs that bark or lunge at her πΎ
Helping her feel happier in the car, I've slacked on this π
All those cues she knows.... proofing them, so she understands, and does them, any time, any place π
Improving off lead reliability, so she can have more freedom. We're nearly there... but I'd like to work more on this π
Nail cutting!
All in all, I am really really pleased with her. We have fun, and we are best mates, and that, I guess, is the point, isn't it π€·ββοΈπΎ
