Trafford Park Canine Hydrotherapy We house a purpose built swimming pool and wet-room to offer you and your pet an individually tailored hydrotherapy programme to best suit their needs.

Dear customers,

Please be aware that some of the travelling community have moved back into one of the car parks nearby, and some of their dogs have been seen roaming freely in the area and on the roads.

For the safety of your dogs, please take extra care when arriving and leaving, and keep that in mind if your dog goes to the toilet here before their session. If you turn right out of our main gates you can still use the grass at the end of the road near the overflow car park.

Hi everyone,
We will soon be selling some selected dogs toys, treats and other bits. This will be a lot of the treats and toys that we use, Kong Wubba's, Squeaky Balls, etc. We will look at taking orders for specific items in the near future. There will also be some random things appearing while stocks last. However if you would like a Donald Trump for your dog to destroy those are all currently sold out...strange that!!!

Warm water soothes the joints, while buoyancy supports the dog’s body weight allowing them to exercise & strengthen muscles without any pressure being loaded onto joints.

We are one week away from Tilly's one year anniversary with us. In August last year Tilly's was suddenly unable to move her hind legs. Tilly was suffering from a slipped disc in her back that required emergency surgery. The disc was pressing on the nerves in her spine stopping the signals from the brain reaching her hind legs. She had no pain or discomfort but also had no feeling in her legs.
It has been slow but steady progress to get her back up on her feet and walking again but she has continually made progress over the year. Her owners have been amazingly dedicated to getting her back being her daft active self.
Unfortunately she hasn't regained the feeling in her hind legs, but as you can see from the video she spinal walking. Spinal walking is dog miraculously walking using only muscle memory. As you can see in the video spinal walking does make it look like she has spent a little too much time in pub. This is a result of the signals from the paws being unable to get to her brain to then help correct her stride and paw placement. Despite this we are all absolutely blown away by her progress and it is great to see her go from being unable to move her legs to being a dafty in the park.
Hydrotherapy has played a very important role in this. Giving her the opportunity to exercise in a controlled environment with the support of the water reducing the weight through her legs. That along with individually tailored sessions, guidance from us and consistency from her owners we have all been able to give Tilly a fantastic result!!!

Brooklyns progress 🐾🖤

Initially Brooklyn’s started hydrotherapy with her muzzle as she can be nervous and wary of new people. Within a few visits, Brooklyn was comfortable enough for us to remove it. After a year of consistent treadmill sessions we have seen huge improvements in not only Brooklyns gait & range of motion, but also her confidence!

Muzzles are a tool and doesn’t define the dog wearing it. Sometimes that extra barrier allows the dog some space to feel safe and start building trust in new environments or with new people.

Keep up the hard work Brooklyn, we are so proud of you! 🥰
