One of my favourite parts of teaching is watching confidence grow.

Students often arrive nervous, unsure if they can do it.

A few months later they’re handling dogs confidently, completing grooms, and planning exciting futures.

The skills can be taught.
The confidence comes from doing.

And that’s exactly what we’re here for.

When should puppies start grooming?

Ideally from around 12 weeks old once vaccinations are complete.

Early puppy appointments help them:
✨ Build confidence
✨ Get used to grooming equipment
✨ Learn handling skills
✨ Create positive experiences

The earlier they start, the easier grooming often becomes later in life.

Today I got to give a little something back to someone who gave me so much. 🐾

This is Bessie, belonging to my old gymnastics coach. For years you both believed in me, pushed me when I needed it, picked me up when I doubted myself, and helped shape me into the person I am today.

The confidence, discipline and determination I carry into my business and everyday life started in that gym all those years ago.

Treating Bessie to a puppy groom is the very least I can do to say thank you for everything. Some people leave a mark on your life forever, and I’ll always be grateful for everything you’ve done for me. ❤️

Today is my birthday, and I can’t help but think about little me.

The little girl with big dreams, endless ideas, and absolutely no clue how much life would teach her along the way.

She wouldn’t believe the things we’ve achieved. The business we’ve built. The people we’ve helped. The dogs we’ve groomed. The students we’ve taught. The life we’ve created.

It hasn’t always been easy. There have been challenges, setbacks, doubts, and moments where giving up felt easier. But we kept going.

And I think if little me could see me now, she wouldn’t be impressed by the business or the achievements.

She’d be proud that we never stopped believing in ourselves.

Here’s to another year of growth, gratitude, and chasing dreams that once felt impossible.
