You know that heavy feeling when you arrive at a salon and your dog plants their paws, looks at the car door, and you have to practically carry them inside?
I’ve seen owners who drive the long way round the street because they’re ten minutes early, dreading that moment where they have to say goodbye to a dog who looks terrified. It makes you feel like the bad guy, doesn’t it?
That is why I do things differently. When a dog walks in wagging their tail and looking for a biscuit, it isn’t just about a tidy trim. It’s about the fact that they feel safe enough to be themselves. There is nothing better than seeing a pup go straight for a cuddle before the lead is even off.
