At DogzBody Spa, your dog’s health and wellbeing is paramount.

For this reason, we have professional air conditioning installed in our groom room to keep your dogs (and our staff) comfortable, regardless of the outside temperatures.

Fresh water is available at all times as well.

Please do take care not to walk your dog to the salon on very hot days.

This beautiful girl really enjoyed having the salon to herself last Monday! We only have one groomer working on Mondays which is ideal for dogs who don’t like other dogs and those who like to be a bit vocal during their groom.

Olive is one of our more chatty clients, so having the space to herself is ideal!

We had the most scrumptious puppy come to visit for his first puppy groom this week. He had a bath, brush and nails and absolutely loved every minute.

With puppy grooms, we are very aware that this first experience of a grooming salon is important. A positive experience will more likely lead to a puppy enjoying their future visits and not being scared of the various elements involved, such as standing on a table, being bathed, dried and having nails and ears cleaned.

Gentle introductions to all the new sights and sounds is essential. Also having time to rest, sniff, toilet and relax following the groom is key. This allows the dog to fully decompress and balance themselves out again following these new experiences.

To say that this boy and his little hedgehog were too cute is an understatement…

Maverick has hip dysplasia, so he suffers with pain in all his legs due to overcompensation. Our groomers are aware of this and support him as much as possible during his groom. His family also make sure that he has pain meds before, during and after his grooming session to keep him feeling comfortable.

Having a groom is often likened to a gym work out for a dog as they are standing for certain periods of time and their legs are also lifted and gently manipulated for various parts of the process. This is why we carefully observe all of the dogs in our care, but especially those that we know have arthritis or joint pain of any kind. We can then adapt the grooming process to suit.
