Today we are asking for a favour that costs nothing.

Benefact Group gives its profits to charity, and it decides who receives them by asking the public to nominate. One hundred charities will receive £1,000 each between the 7th and 11th of September.

CAMPS 2026 ☀️🏕️

Hard to condense the camps into a short fun video, but hope you enjoy this! Hopefully I’ve not missed anyone out 🙈

Well done everyone - for your achievements, for your kindness and consideration to your horses and for genuinely rooting for and supporting everyone else. A shining example well done. Thank you for being such good sports with a sense of humour too!

But also sort of glad that’s over for another year 🤣

Inara hasn’t done a lot this year, but she did a little demo on all my camps. Including showing off her favourite puzzle solving task!

I took one day rest after camp then had a busy couple of days out and about teaching. Managed to get some video clips to share! We have Libby & Blue working on backing up from different positions 🤩 First session with me for Clair & Annie doing some liberty agility 🌟Liz with Jake Storm reintroducing his pack saddle and some lovely soft bitless riding with Storm ⭐️ Sarah & Donna doing some “long reining” without reins as the heavens opened during their session so we scrapped the intro to saddle work and anything on her back and did liberty practising leaving handler and turning on voice cues 👌 Kerry & Woody also did some work on working at distance and leaving handler which is something he’s found tricky but he aced last session 🤩 then Helen & Troy went out and about continuing to work on Troy’s confidence - looking very calm and listening well! We met some cows and Troy was given time to look and work everything out and continued beautifully. Time to get her onboard soon 👏

I get some sit down days now doing the Horse Agility Club judging, and I’ll be in touch soon re September dates for people.

During our most recent camp we were thrilled to welcome Motje Wolf for a demonstration on self selection of herbs with horses. Motje is qualified in Applied Herbal Choices for animals and provided an interesting, informative demo.

Motje was a participant on our first camp of the year and had offered to do a demonstration for us while visiting this camp. I gave her Alfie to demonstrate with and it was fascinating watching him come round to the idea of the herbs and picking out what he needed. I was left with herbs and instructions so I can carry on with him 😍

Motje has an interesting blog which includes her contact details if you want to book a session with your own horse - see comments for the link to that. I think she may be in our area again at some point soon!

Thank you Motje, it was brilliant to include another of my herd in the camp in some way and I loved watching him interact with you and the change in him through the session. I also appreciated the sit down and rest during camp 😆

Another camp finished, well done everyone. Lots of fun, achievements and laughs. That brings 2026 camps to close. Hope you all enjoyed them!

I’ve got a couple busy days teaching at mo then can have a well earned sit down! More camp photos to come.

Camp highlights ⭐️

Erin and Peanut having a nice, quiet little sit last weekend as part of her backing process 🤩 fabulous stuff!

Final camp of the year starts tomorrow, and for once I seem to be pretty much ready before 10pm 🤣

Another amazing Horse Agility camp done 🤩 Some fabulous achievements, lots of laughs and lovely horse/handler relationships. Oh and a filming day with our local news channel for a feature they want to do on us! Well done all. One more camp to go…
