Whilst with the muleteers last week we passed underneath the walnut trees and through the walnut harvest, where we watched men in trees knocking the walnuts down to the people collecting them below. This meant good snack time for us all and we shared many a fresh walnut. Pictured is someone I’d worked with many years ago, it was nice to reconnect and see him working so well with his mule.

A highlight of my visits to Jarjeer Mules is seeing Tosca. I knew Tosca in her working days in the mountains some years ago when I worked alongside her owner as part of my work in mule welfare. She worked bitless, was well cared for and liked to be the lead mule - always knowing where she was going! I’ve walked mountains alongside her in the past, and now when I visit we enjoy a more leisurely stroll around Jarjeer. So grateful she has a wonderful retirement.

I am just leaving Morocco after a lovely short trip. I’ve been an ambassador/patron for Jarjeer for a few years and I’ve been very honoured to become a trustee for the charity now as well.

I also spent a couple of days up in the mountains with muleteers who were happy with their new bitless bridles and we had a nice day working together. More photos/videos soon but for now I’m off home ✈️

During their most recent session Amy and Bracken wanted to have a go at a little sequence in this month’s Horse Agility competition courses, and continue working on the sidepass we’ve made a start with ⭐️
