Such a good girl for her Physiotherapy today - this is something that she has had to become more used to over time ... someone else touching her and putting laser on her etc - But it really helps that she has had such a good training foundation, she can be still and sit and stand etc and... she trusts me, so she knows whatever weird stuff is going on its all ok!!

Every dog deserves to feel safe. ๐Ÿ’›

For some dogs, that means a little more space.

Not every dog enjoys meeting strangers or greeting other dogs, and that's okay. Whether they're nervous, in training, recovering, or simply prefer a little distance, respecting their boundaries helps build confidence and creates calmer, safer walks for everyone.

If you see a dog wearing yellow, it's a simple request: please give us space.

Sometimes, the kindest thing you can do is keep your distance.

Every walk is a training sessionโ€ฆ even when you aren't training. ๐Ÿ‘€

Every time your dog pulls and gets where they wanted to go, they're learning.

Every time they spot something exciting and charge towards it, they're learning.

Every time they choose to come back to you, walk close, pause or disengage from something interesting?

They're learning then too. ๐Ÿ’™

That's rehearsal.

The things our dogs do again and again become easier, quicker and more automatic โ€“ simply because they've had lots of practice doing them.

So rather than spending your walks thinking:

โ€œHow do I stop THAT?โ€

Try asking:

โ€œWhat would I love my dog to do instead โ€“ and how can I give them more opportunities to rehearse THAT?โ€

Small choices. Lots of repetitions. Skills that grow.

What you rehearse is what you become.
