Keeping things fun, even when it's too hot outside! ☀️🐶

Sniffing games are a brilliant way to exercise your dog's brain without risking them in the heat. Mental enrichment can be just as tiring as physical exercise!

Try hiding treats or their favourite toy around the house and let them use their nose to find them. Start small, then increase the difficulty.

After 4 years, I'm running out of hiding places and this one really got Maze's brain ticking this lunchtime and she's fast asleep now!

Stay cool, stay safe, and let the sniffing begin! 💛

Water safety matters just as much as keeping cool 🌊

Keep an eye out for signs your dogs may be getting tired:
- Heavy panting
- Lagging behind
- Reluctance
- Glassy eyes
- Trying to get out

When in doubt, get out! 💙

Meet Poppy — a sweet little rescue Pomeranian with a lot to say to a world that can sometimes feel a bit too loud. 🐾

Poppy initially found adjusting to a new environment and everyday noises difficult. She showed this by barking at the door, reacting to people in the community if they got too close, and acting as a little warning system for every unexpected noise. Underneath those behaviours was a lack of confidence and some understandable anxiety, so our focus has been on helping her feel safer, calmer, and more secure in her new environment.

Together, we’ve been working on calm reactions, building focus and engagement, and strengthening trust with her owner, alongside support from .

Poppy has shown us just how smart and trusting she can be and has thrived in a learning environment full of games, and interaction.

It’s been so rewarding to see Poppy begin to settle, tune in more, and take on the world with a little more confidence. 🧡🌿🐾

Here is your friendly reminder to stop, take a breath, watch the world and take in it's beauty!

Not only is this healthy for us, but also our dogs! Walks don’t always have to be go, go, go. Often we take our dogs out to meet their physical needs and rarely we give them the opportunity to just do nothing.

A tired dog isn't always a happy dog. Taking time to slow down, soak in the environment, and practice calmness in busier areas can help our dogs regulate and feel more settled in the world around them. 🐾

Adder bites have been reported in the area, so please take extra care on walks. Keep dogs close, avoid dense grass and sunny banks where possible, and contact your vet immediately if you suspect a bite.

Please share to help other local dog owners stay aware.

Meet Margot — a bright, lovely adolescent Golden Retriever with a big heart and an even bigger love of learning 🐾

Margot has been making such steady progress in her training, and it’s been a joy to watch her confidence and engagement grow. We’ve been focusing on the foundations that make everyday life easier including, but not limited to, loose lead walking, recall, and building reliable and clear cues.

We’re now turning those skills into real-life habits by building calmness, adding gentle distractions, and capturing the moments Margot makes great choices all by herself. The most rewarding part has been seeing her choose to check in and work with her human more often, even when the world feels exciting. It’s already paying off with calmer walks, quicker responses, and a pup who’s growing in confidence day by day. 🧡🌿🐾
