Unfortunately, despite our ongoing efforts to resolve the issue, our phone lines and systems are still down.

We are currently exploring alternative call diversion options to help minimise disruption and get things back up and running as smoothly as possible.

We appreciate your patience while we work through this and apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will share further updates as soon as we can.📞🛜

We are currently experiencing an issue with our broadband provider, which has resulted in all our systems being temporarily down, including our telephone lines and card machines. We can see the by guys working in the cabinet on Northumberland road and we have been round to them and pleaded with them to do their best to get us online. We are still open and our normal hours apply!

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to get everything back up and running as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.

🦠Blue-green algae in mote park lake🦠

🌧️Don’t forget after a long dry spell - fresh rains increase the likelihood of getting Leptospirosis/Weil’s disease and jaundice in your dog ! Plus you can get it from your dog potentially : check your dog had a Lepto vaccine in the last 11 months - we stick Lepto version two which is very popular and non reactive and sadly getting harder to source …

Standing water and puddles can increase the risk of exposure to the bacteria that cause Lepto. It can cause serious illness, including liver and kidney damage and jaundice, and in severe cases can be fatal.🤒

Our prices are very reasonable so feel free to call us on 01622758737📞

🐾 PARVOVIRUS! 🚨

There has been many positive parvo results in the Maidstone area and we would like to make everyone aware as Canine parvovirus (parvo) is a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening virus, especially dangerous for puppies and unvaccinated dogs.

⚠️ Common signs of parvo include:
• Severe or repeated vomiting
• Diarrhoea, which may contain blood
• Loss of appetite
• Extreme tiredness or weakness
• Fever or a low body temperature
• Dehydration
• Abdominal pain

🦠 Parvo can spread easily through infected faeces and contaminated environments, objects, shoes, hands and surfaces. A dog doesn’t necessarily need direct contact with an infected dog to be exposed.

💉 Vaccination is the best protection. Puppies need their full vaccination course and should be kept away from potentially contaminated areas until their vet confirms they are adequately protected.

🚨 If you suspect your dog has parvo, contact a vet immediately. Don’t wait for symptoms to become severe — parvo can progress quickly and often requires intensive veterinary treatment.

❤️ Please share this post. Knowing the signs could help another dog owner recognise parvo early and get their dog the help they need.

🐱 Neutering Your Cat – A Small Procedure with Lifelong Benefits 💚

Neutering is one of the best decisions you can make for your cat’s long-term health and wellbeing. It not only helps prevent unwanted litters but also offers many health and behavioural benefits.

✨ Benefits of neutering include:
🐾 Reduced roaming, helping to keep your cat safer.
🐾 Less urine spraying and territorial behaviour.
🐾 A lower risk of certain cancers and reproductive diseases.
🐾 A calmer temperament with fewer hormone-driven behaviours.
🐾 Helping reduce the number of unwanted kittens in our community.

What happens during the procedure?
Neutering is a routine operation performed under a general anaesthetic. Male cats are usually able to go home the same day, and most recover very quickly. Female cats have a slightly longer surgery and may need a little more recovery time, but they also return home the same day in most cases.

Post-operative care:
💚 Keep your cat indoors and allow them to rest.
💚 Prevent jumping and rough play for the first few days.
💚 Check the wound daily for redness, swelling or discharge.
💚 Use the protective collar or medical suit if advised to stop licking the incision.
💚 Give any prescribed medication exactly as directed.
💚 Offer food and water once they’re fully awake, but don’t worry if their appetite is a little reduced on the first evening.
💚 Contact us if you notice excessive swelling, bleeding, discharge, or if your cat seems unusually quiet or unwell.

Every cat is different, and we’re always happy to answer any questions you may have before or after the procedure.

📞 Feel free to contact us to discuss neutering and whether it’s the right time for your cat. 🐾💚
