package) prices start from £35 depending on the breed of your dog, prices depend on coat type, size, breed, hair style and the condition of the coat. Free consultation on arrival to discuss your dogs grooming requirements, as well as a free coat and health check. A full groom treatment includes bathing, blow dry, sc******ng and/or clipping, ear care and nail clipping and a fragrance spritz. De-matting can en-cure extra charges as the prices are based on regular grooming and a small amount of de-matting.

Congratulations 🙌🏻 to Meli the Cocker Spaniel, today she completed Puppy Grooming School with distinction ⭐️

Today was her big girl groom and she was amazing. We will continue to practice table training, and building on her confidence and stamina (yes grooming is very tiring) but this very young puppy is on her way to being a true pro at this grooming business 💜

Welcome to Puppy Grooming School

Our Puppy Package is recommended to all new puppy clients and is extremely popular. It’s a series of 4 sessions designed to desensitise them to the sounds & sensations of grooming, in a calm and a positive way.

Session 1
You will have had your meet, treat & greet session in the salon with you and your puppy so that you can meet us and your puppy can get a little used to the sights, smells and sounds of the salon.

In their first session we will do some brushing and combing with your puppy on the table, gentle handling on the grooming table, introduce your puppy to the sound of clippers, practice stand and sit on the table for grooming and answer any questions you may have. Advice on correct brushes and combs, including techniques for you at home.

Session 2
A Bath & Blow Dry session; this gets them used to being bathed, the shampoo process, standing on a table along with the noise and sensation of the dryer, and being brushed and combed all over. There is a lot of table training involved in this session.

Each session builds on the previous session and is very successful! Usually sessions are spread 2-3 weeks apart, although we can reduce the time in-between if you wish.

Session 3- Mini Groom
This session includes everything that is involved in session 1 and 2 and more! It also involves a nail trim, paw pad trim, sanitary area trim and sc******ng around the feet and the eyes. This desensitises them to the sensations of the comb, the clippers and scissors.

Session 4
Their First Full groom - it includes all of the above as well as taking length off the coat with clippers and scissors to your desired length. We will also include a gentle introduction to ultrasonic teeth cleaning which is very important for dental health.

On completion your puppy with receive a certificate of completion and a goody bag.

Puppy Grooming School is open to puppies under six months of age, once vaccines are complete and must be completed by six months old.

Leaving Your Dog for the First Time? I Understand.

At The Grooming Studio, I know how emotional it can feel to hand your dog over to someone new. Years ago, I took a break from grooming when my daughter was young. During that time, I had to take my own dog, Keane, to a groomer for the very first time. Even though he was confident and used to being groomed, I still felt that anxious knot in my stomach. I didn’t know the groomer personally—I just trusted a recommendation and hoped for the best.

That experience stayed with me. She was lovely and he had a good time.

It reminded me what it’s like to be in your shoes—standing at the door, handing over your beloved dog to someone you don’t yet know.

That’s why I work hard to build trust with every client—both human and canine. I want you to feel confident knowing that:
• I’m fully trained and continue my education through courses and CPD.
• I’ve spent many years in the grooming industry.
• I have glowing testimonials from clients who once stood exactly where you are now.
• I genuinely care about the wellbeing of your dog—not just their haircut.

Why does this matter? Because your dog picks up on your energy. If you’re anxious, they will be too. But if you feel calm and confident leaving them with me, that reassurance travels down the lead.

And while not every dog loves being groomed, there’s a lot we can do to make the experience as pleasant as possible:

🐾 A little walk to stretch their legs
🐾 A toilet break before we begin
🐾 Clipping out matts instead of brushing them painfully
🐾 Short breaks during the groom to relax on a comfy bed
🐾 A gentle towel rub and a drink of water
🐾 And of course—a tasty treat or two!

These small things can make a big difference.

So whether it’s your dogs first visit, or you’re still getting to know me —please know that I get it. I’ve been there too. And I’ll always treat your dog with the same love and care I wanted for Keane.

🛁 A Bath Isn’t Just a Bath… It’s the Foundation of Every Great Groom! ✨

One of the biggest misconceptions about dog grooming is that the haircut is the most important part of the groom.

In reality… the preparation is everything.

A beautiful finish starts in the bath. Using high-quality professional shampoos and conditioners, carefully selected for your dog’s individual coat type and skin needs, makes all the difference.

🐾 Every dog is different.
A Pomeranian’s dense double coat has completely different requirements to a Cockapoo’s wool coat, a Spaniel’s silky coat or a Labrador’s short, shedding coat. There is no “one shampoo fits all.”

Professional products are designed to:
✨ Cleanse the coat thoroughly without stripping its natural oils.
✨ Remove dirt, grease, allergens and dead skin.
