Loki , being a typical male dog likes to leave his scent on everything on a walk, today at day trains we are refreshing our freedom time (ok command) and then bringing him back into behaviour to continue his loose lead walking with payment when he checks in 🐶

1st session for this guy 🐕

He is reactive on the lead usually, so we start with the technique in a quiet area with low distraction and then as his owner gets comfortable with the lead and he understands the principles, we can move to more challenging areas.

Excited to see his progress, he's coming back for another session & hopefully joining day trains

Restrained recalls to build motivation and engagement as well as getting the reps in for those marker words 🙌
This pup has bags of potential, but like many little dogs he craves attention from the outside world which leads to pulling and barking.
We want to direct all that energy to play and the owner so that in the future we eliminate pulling and reactive walks and instead have a dog who wants to work for his owner, engages with his person and subsequently can go more places and enjoy a fulfilled life 🐕✨️

Starting the session off with some back runs 💪
Big thanks to our friends from Ballybogey flyball team for coming down and training with us tonight and helping us out, always great to get the dogs running with different dogs to the norm 😊 We are hoping to join them at a tournament at the end of the season, let's get some work in 🐕👌

🐕 Bring a chair and jacket, it is super windy around the field tonight!
🐕 There are bins on site please use them and pick up after yourselves and your dogs
🐕 Parking available on the stable yard for overflow
🐕 Water available for dogs ask a club member if in need
🐕 These are working dogs, please be respectful and enjoy the day!!
