Please give a warm welcome to gorgeous Waffles, who visited us for the very first time here at Mucky Pups for his first groom with us! ❤️

Waffles arrived with a lovely fluffy coat that was ready for a little pampering. After a relaxing bath, blow dry, tidyup, and a full groom, he left looking smart, fresh, and feeling much more comfortable. Just look at that adorable face and those beautiful eyes! 🥰

For his first visit, Waffles was an absolute superstar and took everything in his stride. We love helping dogs feel happy and confident during their grooming experience, especially when they’re visiting us for the first time. By the end of his appointment, he was looking every bit the handsome gentleman with a perfectly shaped teddy bear finish. ✂️🐶

Tick Season Is Here! 🚨

While grooming today, we found this little unwanted guest hiding in a dogs coat! Ticks are very common this time of year, especially in tall grass, wooded areas, parks, and even backyards. They can attach themselves quickly and often go unnoticed under thick fur.

Here are a few important things every pet parent should know:

🐾 Check your dog daily especially around the ears, neck, armpits, between toes, and under collars.

🐾 Ticks can carry diseases that affect both pets and people, so prevention is important.

🐾 Keep your pup on a vet recommended flea & tick preventative year-round.

🐾 After walks or outdoor play, do a quick “tick check” before coming inside.

🐾 If you find a tick, remove it carefully with tweezers or contact your vet/groomer for help.

At grooming appointments, we always keep an eye out for skin issues, fleas, and ticks while working through the coat. Early detection can make a big difference!
