Obviously, every day is Dog Day around here… but apparently today it’s official! 🐶

A very dozy Wilma was reintroduced to the group this afternoon following a procedure under sedation to clean and treat her ear infection. 🥺🐾

It felt very strange looking after the other dogs without her here today, and it was lovely to see how gentle they all were with her when she returned. ❤️

Sadly, it appears things may be a little more serious than I’d hoped. We have a follow-up appointment in a couple of weeks to discuss everything in more detail, but it has been suggested that she may need surgery to remove her ear canals.

I’m very aware that this isn’t a decision to be taken lightly, so I’d be really grateful to hear from anyone who has experience of this procedure, either professionally or as a dog owner. Please do send me a message if you’re happy to share your experience.

For now, she’s still very woozy and receiving lots of love and attention while we hope she’s soon feeling much more comfortable. 💜

Meet Dug the Pug! 🐾 Making his return for another short stay with us. 🥰

Now, when you’re on treat rations, you have to make the daily count! 😂

After a whole lotta noise and excitement, he didn’t demolish it in quite the way I was expecting! I think he may have been slightly distracted by the five faces peering through the glass door behind me 👀🤣

No pressure, Dug. Absolutely nobody watching…
