This gorgeous boy is Buddy, hes 14 & we've been friends since 2014. Regular walks/playdates each week as well as sleepovers since then until now.
Today I had to make the heart breaking, hard decision to end his playdates with me.
Buddy has been struggling a little & not wanting to walk very far & whilst our other friends did their own thing, went at their own pace, Buddy & I did ours but after monitoring him for a couple of weeks, harsh realisation hit & Buddy simply doesn't need or want the walks anymore.
My job is so rewarding. Everyday I get to spend time with my fantastic buddies, laugh at their crazy antics & just simply enjoy their company. My buddies are all very special & I've never looked at them as £s. Their welfare has always come first & always will. It's also about knowing when to do the right thing. Today was that day & even though the tears are flowing, I know I've made the right decision for Buddy.
Luckily, albeit hard for her too, his owner agrees & respects that decision.
