RED ASTERISM SHRIMP & Geilee Soil
Today marks eight weeks since our Red Asterism Shrimp arrived at our breeding facility in Manchester, UK.
Here’s a quick update video showing their progress. We already have plenty of babies, and the first batch, born around Week 5, are now approaching 1cm in length. 👀
We’ve been extremely impressed with the quality of ‘s Shrimp and products we’re using. The Geilee Shrimp Soil, combined with carefully selected breeding stock, has provided an excellent foundation for our breeding setup.
The young shrimp are developing exceptionally well and are already displaying characteristics similar to their parents, including their distinctive appearance. While development can naturally vary between individuals, the consistency we’re seeing so far is incredibly encouraging. 🔥
Our previous experience with another supplier was very different. We received an unusually high number of males (90% or more), experienced slow or stunted growth, and suffered significant losses, resulting in a considerable financial setback. It was an expensive lesson, but it reinforced the importance of choosing reliable suppliers and high-quality breeding stock.
After eight weeks, the results have been highly encouraging: healthy adults, plenty of growing juveniles, and the first batch now approaching 1cm. We’re excited to continue monitoring their development and breeding progress right here in the United Kingdom. 💪
This is Shrimp Corner UK — and we’re enjoying every moment of the journey.
