Another dog walker sharing a hot weather warning post! ☀️🐾
And even for me with my Peruvian roots, I have to admit… it’s getting warm! So just imagine how our furry friends are feeling! 🥵
When temperatures go above 23°C, we will adjust our walks to keep your pooches safe and comfortable:
🌿 Morning walks will be completed before 9am.
🌿 Evening walks will start after 7pm until 9pm latest walk.
🌿 We will stick to shaded woodland areas.
We will collect and drop off your dogs unless you have suitable woodland areas nearby. We always carry water for them and will avoid encouraging too much running or intense exercise during warmer weather.
Once temperatures go above 25°C, we will cancel walks altogether to prioritise your dogs’ safety and wellbeing.
It is also safe to say that we will not be walking any dogs tomorrow (23/06) or Thursday due to the heat. Happy to pop over to let your dog out in the garden instead.
That said, I wanted to share with you my favourite summer tools that we have been using for years and that have truly been lifesavers for us: ☀️🐾
❄️ Cooling coats: mainly used for our Staffy, who gets warm very easily and is always on the go during walks.

🦴 KONG Classic natural rubber toy: perfect for creating easy, refreshing frozen recipes that help keep pooches calm, entertained, and mentally stimulated when the weather doesn’t allow us to spend as much time outdoors.
🧴Natural Flea & Tick repellant: we start using this from the first signs of spring, applying it between the shoulder blades and above the tail. We always do our best to check all the doggies, especially after walks, but please also check those common tick hotspots when your pooch is relaxed at home in the evening: head, neck, ears, underbelly, and between their toes.
💦 Cooling mat: a brilliant tool to have at home and place wherever your dog prefers to sleep or rest. It has been another precious addition for our Staffy during summer, and when travelling to warmer countries — as we love taking our dogs everywhere with us.
🚗 Air conditioning in the car & keeping dogs on seats rather than in the boot: keeping our furry passengers comfortable and safe is always a priority but make sure they’re attached appropriately.
❗️And please, never leave your dog alone in a car, especially during warm weather.
