Bear is my Romanian rescue, and he's taught me more about dogs than I ever imagined.
When he first came home, the world felt like a scary place. New people, unfamiliar dogs and busy/noisy places could all be overwhelming for him. He's still a nervous boy, and that's okay.
Learning to understand him, read his body language and let him go at his own pace has taught me so much about dog behaviour.
Not every dog wants to say hello. Not every dog enjoys busy walks. And that's perfectly okay.
Every dog is an individual, and I think that's something really special. Bear is one of the reasons I mostly offer solo dog walks. It gives each dog full focus and time to go at their own pace ❤️
I'd love to hear about your pets. Do you have a rescue, a nervous dog, or an animal who's taught you something along the way? Share a photo in the comments – I'd love to meet them! 🐾💛
