I get this a lot an not just from strangers but also friends, they think it's a hobby an not a proper job. Because I board also I'm going 24hrs , I don't clock off it's all the time.

When people ask what you do for work, you tend to get one of two very different responses.

The first is:
“Oh my god, how amazing!”
“That’s my dream job!”
“You’re so lucky!”
“You have the best job in the world!”

And then there’s the second:
“A dog walker?”
“Is that really a proper job?”
“Sounds more like a hobby.”
“You just get to play with dogs all day.”

And honestly, that second response can really make you feel like 💩

It really can hurt when people talk about dog walking as if it’s “not a proper job.” There’s nothing shameful about earning an honest living by caring for animals.

Dog walking takes responsibility, reliability, patience, physical effort, organisation, and trust. People are literally trusting you with a member of their family. That matters.

And a job doesn’t become less respectable because someone else wouldn’t choose to do it. Work has value because of what it contributes and because it supports your life—not because it sounds impressive when you tell someone what you do.

So if someone makes you feel small about it, remember: they're judging a job title; you're building a life. Those are not the same thing. ❤️

Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my beloved Charlie, rescued from Romania 8 years ago Charlie came to us skinny an scared. Hopfully the years with us gave u the comfort an love u deserved.
Charlie was my husbands boy an now they are back together up in heaven. Run Free my darling I will miss u with all my heart
