The holiday bubble has officially popped and OH MY DOG is back in business! 🐶🤎

After a lovely few days away in Wales with my family, I’m feeling refreshed, recharged… and ready to get back to seeing all my favourite four-legged faces! 🥰🐾

The bags are (mostly) unpacked, the washing mountain is being ignored 😂 and the walking boots are back on!

I’m off with my family for some adventures, exploring and switching off… although I’m sure I’ll still be spotting dogs everywhere I go! 😂🐕

A huge thank you to all my lovely clients for keeping me so busy! I’m very lucky to spend my days with the best bunch of furry faces. 🥹🐾

I’ll be back Wednesday 2nd September, ready for more walks, waggy tails, muddy paws and all the usual OH MY DOG chaos! 🐕🌿

Yesterday, I took my very own crazy cockapoo to The Nook Freedom Field, if anyone is looking for a safe and secure area to walk (or run) off lead, I can highly recommend it.

OH MY DOG is now FULL TO CAPACITY with regular dog walks! 🐶🐾

And here’s the bit that blows my mind…

✨ We have only been open for 9 MONTHS! ✨

I opened OH MY DOG in November 2025 with no idea where this little business would take me. I certainly never imagined that just 9 months later I’d be at full capacity with a whole pack of amazing regular pups!

From that very first booking to now… watching OH MY DOG grow has genuinely been incredible. 🥹

Every booking, recommendation, lovely message, review and person who has trusted me with their four-legged family member has helped get us here.

So THANK YOU. ❤️

You’ve helped turn my little idea into a fully booked dog-walking business in just 9 months — and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. 🐾

📢 REGULAR WALKING SPACES ARE NOW CLOSED

I’m completely full with my regular dogs, which means I’m going to be putting a pause on taking on new regular walking clients so I can give my existing pack the time, care and attention they deserve. 💙

ADHOC spaces may occasionally become available due to cancellations or the odd gap in the diary. If they do, I’ll post them on my socials as and when they become available!

🚨 UNPOPULAR OPINION… 🥵

I don’t walk dogs in the heat…

…and I’m not even a little bit sorry about it. 🤷🏼‍♀️🐾

Every summer someone says,
“But MY dog loves walks!”

Of course they do… they’d also happily eat a whole stick of butter if you let them. Doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. 😂

As this chart shows, the risk of heat-related illness starts much earlier than most people think, and every dog is different. Age, breed, weight and humidity all play a part.

At OH MY DOG, I won’t gamble with your dog’s health just to avoid cancelling a walk.

Instead, it’s all about shady garden visits, enrichment games, fuss, cuddles and plenty of toilet breaks until it’s safe to get those paws back on the pavement. 🧊💙

I’d much rather have someone say,
“She’s over-cautious…”

…than ever have to say,
“I wish I’d cancelled.”

Your dogs trust me to make the right call—even if it means disappointing their humans. 🐶💙

Remy’s review of this week’s weather: ⭐☆☆☆☆ “Would not recommend.” 🥵

Thank you to all my wonderful Oh My Dog customers for being so understanding while I cancelled walks this week.

We’ve traded lead walks for lounge breaks, garden sniffs and keeping cool instead. As much as I know the dogs love their adventures, nothing is more important than making sure they stay safe.

Hopefully we’ll all be back out making muddy paw prints again very soon! 🐾💛
