Cruella had a laparoscopic ovariectomy yesterday, so here she is having a little nap while she recovers.

What you can’t see is that her tail didn’t stop wagging whenever she heard our voices. 🄰

We absolutely love her name, but we can confirm she is 100% nicer than ā€œthe realā€ Cruella de Vil! ... Such a lovely pretty girl. 🐾

We decided to make her our patient of the month and sent her home with some goodies!

Yesterday… Staff members Harriet and Jess heard there was not 1, not 2 but 3 Rottweilers in consultation with our vet Lindsey.

Their consultation soon got *politely* interrupted for a fuss, and it was a pleasure to meet all three of them!

Happy faces, bubbly personalities and very well behaved dog-gang šŸ’—

Update:
The lovely mummy and pups were doing well with us, she has done a great job. They have now gone to a rescue centre where they will continue to recieve the care they need. We wish her and her pups all the best in life ā¤ļø

Original post: Last night (22.08.26) we had a pregnant bitch found and bought to us by a kind member of public.

She was found around ā€œThe Meadowsā€ in Skegness.

We are looking for her owners to share the news she has safely delivered her pups.

We will not be sharing any details as to what breed she is, and we will require proof of ownership.

We as humans try to skip around the scales, so why wouldn’t dogs!
Sometimes it takes time, patience and reassurance to get them on… That’s exactly what Max needed when he said he didn’t want to be weighed.

Success… šŸ’Ŗ

Meet the Vets, Lindsey! šŸ¤

Lindsey is one of the Head Vets at Black Sheep Vets and East Lincolnshire Emergency Vets.

She grew up in rural Zimbabwe, where a childhood surrounded by rescued animals sparked a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine.

Lindsey studied veterinary medicine at Onderstepoort University in South Africa, where she met her husband, Devon. Fourteen years later, they are still working side by side as Head Vets, having moved to the UK to pursue their dream of a quieter countryside life. They now share their home with four much-loved dogs.

Professionally, Lindsey has a particular interest in dentistry, oral surgery and emergency medicine, and is currently working towards further qualifications in veterinary dentistry. Above all, she prides herself on treating every patient as if they were her own. She believes veterinary care is about far more than medicine alone—it's about supporting pets and their families through every stage of life, from the excitement of a first puppy vaccination to the heartbreak of saying goodbye. She hopes every client leaves knowing their pet has been cared for with genuine compassion and kindness.

Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys exploring the countryside with Devon and their dogs, scuba diving, horse riding whenever she gets the opportunity, and writing fantasy novels. Both Lindsey and Devon are published (and soon-to-be-published!) fantasy authors, proving they enjoy telling stories almost as much as they enjoy caring for animals.
