Not every pup can hold a sit this well with that many interesting smells around. We were impressed.

A calm visit is something you can practise. Short trips in for a weigh in and a fuss, before anything is wrong, make the real appointments much easier.

Yuki the Shiba Inu puppy, came to see us and was absolutely delighted about it. 🧡🐾

Not every puppy walks in this happy, and a lot of that comes down to the first few visits being short, calm and full of treats. If you have a new puppy, bring them in before anything is wrong. A weigh in and a fuss is plenty.

Primrose came in for her post op check, and if you are going to recover, you may as well do it in pink. 🩷🐾

Post op checks are a small appointment that matters a lot. We look at the wound, check it is healing as it should, and make sure she is comfortable and back to herself before we sign her off.

Today is Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day, and our reception team deserve every bit of it. 💚

They are the first voice you hear when something is wrong, and the calm one when you are not. They find appointments that were not there. They remember which dog needs the quiet entrance and which cat would rather not sit anywhere near the dogs. They hold the door with a carrier in each hand.

Thank you for everything you do, quite often before anyone has managed a coffee.

Brown came in to see Mark with a poorly paw, and still found the energy to sit up and say hello. 🥹🐾

Paw problems are one of the things we see most at this time of year. Grass seeds, cut pads, split nails and licking that will not stop are all worth a look, because a small thing can turn into an infection quickly.

If your dog is limping, licking a paw or holding it up, give us a ring. 💚
