🎆Firework season is approaching 🎆

Here are some top tips to help ease pet anxiety during this season 🐱🐶❤️

🐾 Walk dogs before it gets dark and keep them on a lead.

🐾 Keep pets indoors and close windows and curtains to reduce noise and flashes.

🐾 Put on the TV or some calming music to help mask the sound of fireworks.

🐾Create a cosy, safe space where your pet can hide away if they feel scared.

🐾Make sure cats are safely indoors and that microchip details are up to date.

🐾Stay calm and offer comfort if your pet seeks reassurance.

‼️Too hot for walkies?‼️

As temperatures soar, remember that our furry friends can overheat much faster than we do. ☀️

Hot pavements can also burn sensitive paw pads in just seconds. 🐾

Testing the pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds—if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them 🐶

Follow this temperature scale to keep your pet safe ❤️

✨Vaccine Amnesty starting 1st of June ✨

Annual vaccinations are important to help protect your pet from harmful diseases. 🐶🐱♥️

Your pet's health is important to us. If your pet's vaccination protection has lapsed, and a course of two vaccinations is needed to rebuild immunity, we'll bring their vaccinations up to date for the price of a regular annual booster. 🐾

We have had a black cat handed in to our practice from the Longniddry area. Sadly, they have passed on. They did not have a microchip and were around 10-15 years old. From their condition they have likely been missing for a few days. If you believe this to be your cat, or know whose cat this might be, please get in touch with the practice.
