✨Vaccine Amnesty starting 1st of June ✨

Annual vaccinations are important to help protect your pet from harmful diseases. 🐶🐱♥️

Your pet's health is important to us. If your pet's vaccination protection has lapsed, and a course of two vaccinations is needed to rebuild immunity, we'll bring their vaccinations up to date for the price of a regular annual booster. 🐾

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PET TRAVEL 🚨

From 22 April 2026, new EU rules will affect how pets travel from Great Britain to the EU.

🐾EU pet passports issued to or held by GB residents will no longer be a valid travel document for traveling with pets from GB to EU

🐾You’ll now need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) to travel with your pet

🐾 New rules apply to dogs, cats, and ferrets and even to passports issued before this date

If you’re planning a trip with your pet, make sure you check the latest requirements before you travel! ✈️🛳️🚙

We have had a black cat handed in to our practice from the Longniddry area. Sadly, they have passed on. They did not have a microchip and were around 10-15 years old. From their condition they have likely been missing for a few days. If you believe this to be your cat, or know whose cat this might be, please get in touch with the practice.

We are closed until Monday morning as normal but are getting electrical work done at the practice, so our phone lines will be down. If you have an emergency please visit our website for more information or call E-Vets on 01316621689. Thank you 😌

After an incredible 21 years at Village Vets, we are saying a very fond but sad farewell to our much loved colleague Helen.

Over the years she has seen many faces come and go (and countless paws too). Helen’s empathy, knowledge, and skill have made her one of the most popular and trusted vets in the village. She is adored by clients and colleagues alike, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Helen has made the difficult decision to take early retirement to focus on her family. While we are sad to see her go, we are full of admiration for everything she has given to her patients, our team, and the community over the last two decades.
Please join us in wishing Helen every happiness as she begins this next chapter.
Should any of our clients want to pass on their wishes to Helen, we will have a memory book in reception at Village, or please feel free to comment below.
