Puppy blues are far more common than people realise 🐾

So many new puppy owners feel:
• overwhelmed
• emotional
• exhausted
• anxious
• guilty for struggling
• worried they’re “getting it wrong”

And social media often makes it worse by making puppyhood look easy and effortless.

But the reality is:
bringing home a puppy is a huge life adjustment.

Sleep deprivation, constant supervision, broken routines and information overload can feel incredibly overwhelming in the beginning.

Feeling emotional or questioning yourself does NOT make you a bad puppy owner 🤍

Most people don’t need more pressure or perfection.

They need calmer guidance, realistic expectations and support understanding what their puppy actually needs.

Heat wave incoming in the UK 😎

We started the week feeling cold, wearing coats and getting drenched, we’re heading in to the weekend a lots less clothes!

We can take off layers when we’re hot, we can decide when to go in the sun or stay out of it, we can sweat to cool down. DOGS CANNOT.

Please, please, please, do NOT take your dogs out while it’s hot. Early morning, gentle exercise only. Take take care with flat faced breeds, elderly dogs, puppies and pregnant dogs or those with health conditions.

If it’s too hot for you to go for a walk in a fur coat it is for them.

Keep them cool, offer water and shade. Keep them calm where you can.
