⚠️ Poisoning in Dogs – Know the Signs, Act Fast ⚠️
Dogs are naturally curious, which means they can sometimes eat or lick things that are dangerous to them. Common toxins include chocolate, grapes, raisins, xylitol (found in sugar-free gum), medications, cleaning products, and some plants.
🚨 Signs of poisoning may include:
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Drooling
• Tremors or seizures
• Weakness or collapse
• Difficulty breathing
• Pale gums
• Unusual behaviour or restlessness
🐾 What to do:
✔️ Stay calm
✔️ Remove any remaining toxin safely
✔️ Contact your vet immediately
✔️ Keep packaging or details of what was eaten
❌ Do NOT make your dog vomit unless a vet tells you to.
⏰ Quick action can save lives. If in doubt, always seek veterinary advice straight away.
