Doug's Dogs London Doug’s Dogs is a leading East London dog walking, daycare, grooming & training business set up in August 2015. Out goal? Making you & your dog happy !

We only use force free methods & our trainers are IMDT (Instutute of Modern Dog Trainers), qualified. Doug’s Dogs is a leading East London dog walking, daycare, grooming and boarding business providing a positive, hands on, personal approach to looking after your dog. Launched in 2015 by San Francisco trained Doug, our dedicated team of walkers take the dogs to Victoria Park and Hackney Marshes, with occasional adventures in Epping Forest. Using only positive reinforcement techniques, with packs of 6 or fewer dogs, we provide maximum enjoyment and safety with energetic, off lead walks. The team’s based in Bow and Hackney Wick and picks up dogs in Tower Hamlets and Hackney. Back at HQ our grooming studio is open Mon - Sat. And all week we run training classes from puppy to advanced and even one for rescue and untrained older dogs. If you'd like a quote, call or email and we’ll get straight back to you.

The most important part of our daycare routine is …. sleep 💤
Of course exercise, enrichment, socialisation, play are key for a good daycare routine. But sleep is essential … allowing the mind and body to recalibrate; the nervous system to settle and dogs to go home calm and happy 😊

We’ve just given these Trees for Streets trees on the road past the daycare a much needed drink ! We were so happy to see them planted but very sad to see them struggling in the heat. As they aren’t infront of anyone’s homes we’re “adopting” them and going to try to water them at least once per week 💦

SLEEP 😴 : How much do you think your dog gets? How much do you think they need?
Answer : they probably get less but need more than you think !
Lack of sleep can increase reactivity - when you’re sleep deprived you’re a LOT less tolerant than normal. Dogs are the same !
Sleep benefits in so many ways. So make sure your pup has some time alone, a nice cosy space, so they can zonk out :-)
At the daycare we work hard to make sure all the doggos get more sleep :-)
