This lovely girl came to see us at The Hackney Vet today after being found as a stray. 💕🐶

She is currently safe and being cared for by the Dog Warden, while efforts are made to find her owner.

🐾 Meet Charlie! 🐾

This little chap was brought into The Hackney Vet by a kind member of the public after being found in a BIN! 😿 We’re so grateful he was found and brought somewhere safe. Thankfully, one of our wonderful VCA's, Nadia, has taken Charlie in, and he’s now settled into his new foster home with his very own name. 💙

Charlie recently had his first vaccination and, despite everything he’s been through, he did brilliantly! 🌟 He’s already showing what a sweet little character he is, and we’re so pleased to see him getting the care and love he deserves.

His story is also a great reminder of the importance of neutering your cats. 🐱❤️

Female cats can become pregnant from a surprisingly young age, and they can have several litters a year. Neutering helps prevent unwanted kittens and reduces the number of cats who may end up abandoned, stray or in need of rescue. It also has important health benefits for your cat, including reducing the risk of certain reproductive diseases and cancers.
If you have a female cat who isn’t yet neutered, please speak to your vet about the right time to do so.
And as for Charlie… we think he’s landed on his paws! 🥰🐾

Bailey came into The Hackney Vet yesterday for some X-rays, and we couldn’t resist giving this super lovely girl a little shout-out! 💕🐶

She was an absolute star and did so well throughout her visit. Gorgeous inside and out, Bailey was such a pleasure to have in the practice. 🥰

🐾 EXTREME WEATHER WARNING – KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE! ☀️

Hot weather can be dangerous for our furry friends. Please take extra care of your pets during extreme temperatures.

💧 Keep fresh, cool water available at all times
🌳 Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening
🐾 Avoid hot pavements — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
🏠 Keep pets indoors in a cool, well-ventilated area where possible
🚗 Never leave a pet in a parked car, even for a few minutes
☀️ Watch for signs of heatstroke, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, confusion or collapse

If you’re worried that your pet may be suffering from heatstroke, contact your vet immediately.

Meet the brilliant Roxy! 🐾❤️

This lovely Border Collie came into Hackney Vet today for her blood tests and a dental check, and she completely stole our hearts! 🩺✨

Roxy showed off an impressive list of tricks, including paw, high five, crawl, sit, and roll over—what a superstar! 🌟 It's always a pleasure looking after such a clever girl.

Well done, Roxy! We can't wait to see you again. 🐶💙

Meet the gorgeous Sesame! 🐱💕

This beautiful girl came into The Hackney Vet for her spay procedure, and she was an absolute superstar from start to finish. 💛

Spaying is an important part of keeping your cat healthy. It helps prevent unwanted litters and can reduce the risk of certain health conditions later in life.

We hope you're enjoying a well-earned rest at home, lovely girl! Thank you for being such a wonderful patient. 🐾

This handsome boy, Reggie, decided that sultanas looked like the perfect snack... unfortunately, they definitely aren't on the doggy menu! 🍇🐶

Reggie popped into Hackney Vet, where we gave him some medication to help induce vomiting. Safe to say, he won't be adding "food critic" to his CV anytime soon! 🤢😂

💡 Did you know? Grapes, raisins, and sultanas can be highly toxic to dogs and may cause kidney failure—even small amounts can be dangerous. If your pup has eaten any of these, contact your vet straight away. Early treatment can make all the difference.
