🩺Lap Spay🩺
This week Christos has been busy performing lap spays.
A laparoscopic spay, also known as a keyhole spay, is a modern alternative to traditional spaying. Unlike a traditional spay (ovariohysterectomy), which removes both the ovaries and uterus through a larger abdominal incision. A laparoscopic spay typically removes only the ovaries (ovariectomy) through one to three small incisions in the abdomen using specialised equipment.
🐾 Less post-operative pain.
🐾Fewer stitches, both internally and externally.
🐾 Return to normal exercise levels once signed off by your vet.
As the incisions are smaller, there is a smaller risk of post-operative complications with the incisions.
