We are an RSPCA adoption centre for cats and kittens located inside the Pets at Home store in Friern Barnet, North London. Looking for a new companion?

We rehabilitate and rehome cats and provide advice on animal welfare related matters as well assisting local RSPCA branches. We are a cats only adoption centre located inside the Pets at Home store in Friern Barnet. We also provide advice on animal welfare related matters and deliver educational talks to local schools and organisations. Please find details of some of the cats that we have availabl

e by clicking on the 'News' tab above. You can also give us a call on 0300 123 0594 to find out more about the animals that are looking for new homes from our centre. We also help the following find loving new homes for the animals in their care:

RSPCA Potters Bar, Hatfield & Barnet Branch
RSPCA Finchley, Golders Green and Hendon Branch
RSPCA London East Branch

You can read and view the animals looking for loving homes by visiting Find a pet. Please note that cats available from RSPCA Friern Barnet will not be listed on Find a pet, so please go to the 'News' tab above to find about more about the animals that we have at the centre looking for new homes.

*Please note, we do not rehome animals on individuals behalf. If you need to rehome an animal, please give us a call for information, we do not accept animals into our centre*

Money raised during this time will be donated to our centre and will make a massive difference to the cats in our care!

Tara is the kind of cat who makes a house feel like home. Once shy and a little unsure of the world, she's blossomed into a soft, affectionate companion who now seeks out love and gives it right back one belly rub and head scratch at a time. She adores cosy spaces, warm laps, and gentle company, and she's never happier than when she's kneading away, making the best biscuits you've ever seen.

Tara came into RSPCA care from a multi-cat household, and she wasn't in the best condition when she arrived. She had a mild case of cat flu, viral conjunctivitis, and waxy ears, all of which were treated and with plenty of rest and a loving environment, she's made a full recovery and is now thriving. Tara is currently on a veterinary diet for urinary issues due to the vets finding some crystals in her bladder. She has adapted well to being on the new dietwhichc will need to be continued in her new home. The first month of food will be provided by us.

She enjoys the simple pleasures in life: chasing her favourite bird toy, curling up for a quiet snooze, or just sitting beside you soaking up the calm. Tara would thrive in a loving home where she could continue to feel safe and cherished.
