🧸❤️‍🩹 TEDDY UPDATE - ANOTHER HUGE STEP FORWARD, BUT SOME NEWS ABOUT HIS REMAINING EYE

We honestly cannot believe how quickly this little boy is healing.

After everything Teddy’s body has been through - the enormous facial wound, infection, eye removal, skin flap surgery and days of recovery - his surgical drain has now been removed and his healing is progressing incredibly well. 🥹❤️

The vets are genuinely pleased with him, his appetite is there, he is alert, and Teddy seems determined to surprise us at every stage.

We were prepared for a much longer, much harder recovery.

Instead, this little man just keeps fighting. 🧸

❤️‍🩹 BUT WE HAVE LEARNED SOMETHING IMPORTANT ABOUT HIS REMAINING EYE

We had been hoping that, as Teddy recovered, he might regain more vision in his remaining eye.

Unfortunately, after speaking with the vet again, we now understand that the eye does not have full vision.

The good news is that the eye itself is currently comfortable and stable. There is no infection, it is not causing Teddy problems, and there is no reason at present for it to be removed.

But his vision is limited - the vet described it as roughly partial, around half vision rather than full sight.

Of course, we are disappointed because we desperately hoped Teddy would eventually have completely normal vision in that remaining eye.

But then we look at him.

He survived.

He has one eye remaining.

He can still see.

And most importantly, he is comfortable and healing.

After where Teddy started, we have to recognise just how enormous that is. ❤️

It also reinforces something we already felt very strongly about: Teddy’s future needs to be safe and strictly protected. With only partial vision in his remaining eye, an outdoor life simply would not be appropriate for him.

He deserves a secure indoor home where he never has to fight for survival again.

🏡 AND THERE IS ANOTHER BIG DEVELOPMENT…

If Teddy continues healing at this incredible rate, the vets believe he could be medically ready for discharge within the next few days.

Those words should make us completely happy.

And they do.

But they also terrify us a little, because we still need to know exactly where Teddy is going next.

We currently have one potential adoption enquiry being explored, but it is still in the early stages and the main parts of our adoption process have not yet been completed.

So nothing is confirmed.

Nothing is final.

And Teddy is not yet adopted or reserved.

Until his future is properly secured, he may unfortunately need to remain at the clinic for additional days even after he is medically ready to leave - simply because we cannot take any chances with this boy after everything he has survived.

💔 Every additional day means another cost, but we cannot rush such an important decision.

After everything Teddy has been through, whoever eventually becomes his person needs to be absolutely right for him.

For now, though, we just want to appreciate this moment.

The drain is out.
His surgery is behind him.
His appetite is good.
His wound is healing incredibly quickly.
His remaining eye is stable.
And Teddy could soon be ready to leave the clinic.

We are genuinely mesmerised by his recovery. 🥹

This little cat arrived with injuries that were horrifying to look at.

Now he is standing there, healing faster than anyone expected, still curious about the world around him.

Teddy, you really are something special. 🧸❤️‍🩹

🐾❤️‍🩹 STRAY PROJECT UPDATE - SANDY & STAR

A little update on two more cats currently being cared for through our ongoing Stray Project.

Behind the major emergencies you see on our page, there are always other cats still at clinics, still recovering and still quietly adding to the veterinary bills every single day.

🖤 STAR

Star is doing better, but unfortunately is still experiencing flu symptoms on and off.

Because of this, Star is still having to remain at the veterinary clinic for monitoring and care, which of course means the hospitalisation costs continue to increase.

We desperately want Star completely healthy before moving forward, so for now we have to give the body the time it needs and hope these recurring symptoms finally settle. ❤️‍🩹

🤍🧡 SANDY

Sandy is also doing really well and the wound is healing beautifully. ❤️

There is still a little more healing needed before the wound is completely closed, so Sandy also needs some more time before being considered fully recovered.

It may look like only “a few more days” at the clinic, but when several cats are staying at veterinary clinics at the same time, those days very quickly become hundreds and eventually thousands in additional costs.

🐾 THIS IS OUR STRAY PROJECT

We know we cannot save every cat.

We wish more than anything that we could.

We wish we could find a foster or forever home for every single cat we have ever helped, but unfortunately the reality of street rescue in the UAE is very different.

There are simply too many cats and nowhere near enough homes.

So we do what we can.

One cat at a time.

One wound treated.
One infection fought.
One starving cat fed.
One frightened cat given veterinary care.
One life given a chance it may otherwise never have had.

Some of the cats we help may eventually find loving homes. Others, once completely healthy, may have to return to a safe and familiar location.

But while they are under our care, we will always do everything we possibly can to restore them to the best health we can before making that decision.

That is what the Stray Project is about.

And right now, with Teddy recovering from major surgery, Coco unwell, Romeo needing treatment and several other cats still depending on veterinary care, we are stretched more than ever.

🙏🏻 IF YOU CAN HELP US KEEP THE STRAY PROJECT GOING

Every donation helps towards hospitalisation, medication, wound treatment, veterinary checks and the countless smaller costs that quickly become enormous bills.

🐾❤️ RIO UPDATE - OUR BOY IS FINALLY HEALING ❤️🐾

Firstly, we are so sorry that we haven’t updated everyone about Rio recently. Things behind the scenes have been incredibly stressful and mentally draining, and we are trying our very best to keep up with everything happening within the rescue.

Please know that Rio has never been forgotten. ❤️ We have remained in constant contact with his wonderful adopters, keeping them updated throughout his recovery, and they have been incredibly patient, loving and understanding through yet another unexpected delay in bringing their boy home.

🍀 FINALLY - HIS WOUND IS HEALING!

Just look at the difference in these photos. 🥹❤️

Rio’s ringworm caused a horrible, raw wound beside his ear. Despite treatment, healing wasn't happening as quickly as we desperately hoped. He has had medicated washes, creams, his cone to prevent him interfering with the area, and every precaution we could take to prevent it spreading.

But FINALLY, we are seeing the progress we have been waiting for. 🙏🏻

The wound is looking so much better and continues to heal more and more. His adopters are absolutely over the moon - and so are we! 🥹❤️ After everything this boy has already survived, seeing his little body finally winning this battle means so much.

✈️ COULD 10TH SEPTEMBER FINALLY BE RIO'S DAY?

Rio was potentially going to travel at the end of August, but his journey has now been provisionally pushed to 10th September to give him that extra time to heal completely.

His relocation forms have already been completed, and we are keeping the relocation company in Dubai updated on his recovery.

We simply cannot take any unnecessary risks. Before Rio travels, we need to be confident that he is fully recovered and fit for relocation so that there are no problems during his pre-travel health checks or when he reaches the UK and goes through the required veterinary/documentation checks.

Once the relocation company is happy to clear him, we can proceed with his final MOCCAE/pre-travel checks and hopefully confirm his place for 10th September. ✈️🇬🇧❤️

🤞🏻 THE NEXT FEW DAYS ARE REALLY IMPORTANT

We now need Rio's wound to continue doing exactly what it's doing - healing. 🙏🏻

If we continue seeing this improvement over the next few days and he receives the necessary clearance, we may finally be able to say:

RIO IS COMING HOME. 🥹🏡🐾

His family has waited so patiently for him. They have supported him through every setback and every change of plan, and we honestly cannot wait for the moment when they finally get to hold the little boy they have already fallen so deeply in love with. ❤️

Please keep everything crossed for Rio and send our boy all your positive thoughts. 🤞🏻🙏🏻

And thank you for continuing to follow his journey, even when our public updates are a little delayed. We are doing everything we physically can while dealing with so much behind the scenes.

Come on, Rio. One last hurdle, beautiful boy. Your family is waiting for you. ❤️🐾🏡

🧸❤️‍🩹 TEDDY UPDATE - OUR BRAVE BOY IS RECOVERING SO WELL

Firstly, we are so sorry this update has taken us a few days.

Things behind the scenes have been absolutely relentless. We have had far too many cases happening at once, veterinary appointments, emergencies, fundraising, messages and everything else that comes with trying to keep all of these little lives going.

But finally, we can share some really positive news about Teddy. 🥹❤️

A few days ago, Teddy underwent his eye removal and skin flap surgery.

And thankfully…

Everything went well. 🙏🏻❤️‍🩹

We cannot explain the relief of being able to write that after everything this little boy has already been through.

Teddy is recovering really, really well. His wound is healing nicely, the veterinary team are happy with his progress, and - something we are especially relieved about - his appetite is there. 🥹

He is eating.

He is recovering.

And he is fighting exactly the way Teddy always seems to fight. 🧸

The vet has said that, if his healing continues as it is, they will most likely be able to remove his surgical drain today or tomorrow.

Just looking at these photographs after seeing how Teddy arrived at the clinic is incredibly emotional for us.

He still has a long way to go before he is completely healed, but right now, he is doing so much better than we could have hoped.

After the enormous wound, the damaged eye, infection, treatment, surgery and everything his little body has endured…

Teddy is still here.

And he is healing. ❤️‍🩹

🏡 BUT TEDDY STILL NEEDS HIS FOREVER HOME

While Teddy concentrates on recovering, we are still desperately trying to secure his future.

We have received only a couple of enquiries about Teddy, and at the moment there is just one more serious enquiry being explored.

However, it is still very early days.

The main stages of our adoption process have not yet been completed, including the full assessment and home-check process, so absolutely nothing is confirmed and we cannot consider Teddy adopted or reserved.

That means we are still very much looking for Teddy’s forever home. ❤️

If you have been following his story and genuinely feel you could offer him the safe, committed home he deserves, please do not assume it is too late to apply.

Teddy is currently in Dubai, UAE, and once he is completely healed, medically cleared and properly prepared, he can travel internationally through a professional pet relocation company.

Our pre-adoption form is available through our Linktree:

After everything Teddy has survived, we desperately want to make sure that when he finally leaves the veterinary clinic behind, there is a secure future waiting for him. 🧸❤️‍🩹

Please only apply if you are genuinely ready to offer Teddy the safe, committed forever home he deserves.

After everything he has survived, we want the next chapter of his life to be the one where he finally belongs somewhere. 🥹❤️

💔 WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR TEDDY’S FULL VETERINARY BILL

His treatment has included prolonged hospitalisation, medication, wound care, eye surgery, skin flap surgery and now his recovery.

We still do not have the complete final invoice because treatment and hospitalisation have continued to be added as his case develops.

We already know it is going to be a very significant bill.

If you can help towards Teddy’s care and the other rescue cats currently depending on us, we would be incredibly grateful.

If you cannot DONATE or ADOPT, please share Teddy’s update. Somewhere out there may be the person who looks at him and decides that his missing eye changes absolutely nothing.

For now, we are simply incredibly relieved.

The surgery is behind him.
His appetite is there.
He is healing beautifully.
And our little Teddy is still fighting. 🧸❤️‍🩹

Keep going, little man. We are so, so proud of you. ❤️

💔 PLEASE PRAY FOR COCO - WE ARE TERRIFIED WE MAY BE LOSING HERWe genuinely don’t know how much more our hearts can take....

💔 PLEASE PRAY FOR COCO - WE ARE TERRIFIED WE MAY BE LOSING HER

We genuinely don’t know how much more our hearts can take.

It feels like one tragedy after another, one sick cat after another, one emergency after another…and now our beautiful Coco is deteriorating. 💔

And for those who don’t know Coco’s story, this little girl has already fought so hard just to have a life.

Coco was originally rescued in Dubai near a hospital, terrified, starving and covered in glue. The glue had caused severe damage to one of her ears, with part of the tissue becoming necrotic.

She was treated, she recovered, and slowly she began learning that humans could be kind.

Then, after everything she had already survived, Coco escaped from foster and went missing. We searched desperately for her until she was finally found again — hungry and injured — and once more she had to fight her way back.

She did.

She recovered again.

And eventually we started seeing the beautiful little Coco underneath all that trauma - coming out for food, accepting affection, playing and finally beginning to feel safe. ❤️

We genuinely thought she had already endured enough for one little life.

But then Coco was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease.

At the time, surgery was discussed, but the vets felt the risk was simply too great. Coco’s potassium levels were dangerously low and there was a very real possibility that she would not survive the anaesthetic or the operation.

We could not take the risk of losing her on the operating table.

So we monitored her, supported her and prayed that she would remain stable.

And for quite some time…she did. ❤️

But recently things have changed.

💔 COCO HAS STARTED DETERIORATING

She became extremely lethargic, hardly wanted to eat and was panting heavily. She has also been vomiting again.

We took her back to the veterinary clinic because something was clearly very wrong.

And even getting answers has been difficult.

The vets tried repeatedly to take enough blood for a full blood test, but they were struggling to access her veins and were unable to collect enough. Eventually Coco had to be sedated simply so they could obtain blood for the testing they were able to perform.

Her chemistry panel has now shown abnormalities, including raised total protein, globulin and ALT, and the vet is concerned enough that she needs treatment and very close monitoring.

For now, Coco has been given an injection and we have been told to watch her extremely carefully over the coming days.

And then came the words nobody ever wants to hear.

If she continues deteriorating and more symptoms appear, we may have to consider letting her go.

We cannot even write that without breaking down. 💔💔💔

If she improves and manages to return to how she was before, we will continue supporting her and giving her every comfortable, happy day she still wants to have.

But right now we simply do not know which way this is going to go.

🙏🏻 PLEASE, PLEASE PRAY FOR COCO

We know prayers cannot replace veterinary treatment.

But right now we need every bit of hope we can possibly hold onto.

Please pray that her little body responds.

Please pray that she starts eating properly again.

Please pray that she becomes comfortable and brighter.

Please pray that this is not goodbye.

After everything Coco has already survived — being found starving and covered in glue, the terrible damage to her ear, going missing, being found injured and fighting her way back again — it feels unbearably cruel that she now has to face this too.

She has fought for her life more than once.

We desperately need her to fight one more time.

She isn’t simply “another cat” or another veterinary case.

She is Coco.

She is family.

And the thought of losing her is unbearable.

What makes everything even harder is that this is happening while we are already dealing with Teddy’s major surgery and recovery, Romeo’s injuries, other cats still receiving treatment, cats waiting at clinics and veterinary bills that just keep climbing.

We are completely overwhelmed.

Emotionally.

Physically.

Financially.

It genuinely feels as though every time we try to get one little head above water, another emergency pulls us straight back under.

💔 WE NEED HELP MORE THAN EVER

Every veterinary visit, blood test, injection, medication and follow-up adds another cost at a time when we are already struggling to cover the bills in front of us.

If you are able to help towards Coco’s care and the other cats currently depending on us, even a small amount would mean more than we can explain.

And if you cannot donate, please just keep Coco in your thoughts and prayers and share her story.

We are not ready to lose her.

Not yet.

After everything she has already survived, we desperately want her to have more good days ahead of her.

Please fight, Coco.

Please give us a little more time with you. 💔🙏🏻

💔🐾 WE NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO ROMEO…AND WE REALLY DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE WE CAN TAKE 🐾💔

We honestly don’t even know how to write this update.

Poor Romeo had an accident.

He fell from the cat tree while trying to come down, and straight away he started limping, hiding, sitting down and refusing to properly stand.

Soua’d rushed him to the vet, praying it was just a sprain or something minor.

It wasn’t.

The X-rays showed that Romeo has fractures in two places. 💔

One of them is the type of fracture that should heal on its own with strict rest and monitoring, so the vet does not plan to operate on that one.

But the second fracture, higher up around the hip area, will need surgery. 😭🙏🏻

At first, the vet wanted to operate very soon, within just a few days, because the earlier it is repaired, the better.

But after examining Romeo properly and checking his teeth, he believes Romeo is still only around 3 months old.

So now we have to wait until he is around 4 months old before the surgery can be done.

And until then, Romeo has to be kept as quiet as possible and his movement restricted so he doesn’t keep putting pressure on the leg or interfere with how the bone is healing before surgery.

That means weeks of watching him carefully, keeping him from playing and jumping like a normal kitten, and trying to keep him comfortable while knowing he is in pain.

The vet has estimated Romeo’s surgery at around 3,000–4,000 AED, depending on what needs to be done during the operation. We’re desperately hoping it won’t be more than that. 😭😭😭💔💔💔

We are already drowning in vet bills and still have so many rescues to feed and care for. We honestly don’t know how we’re going to manage this without help.

And we are devastated. 😭💔💔💔

Romeo had only just recovered from everything he went through when he was rescued.

His infected paw had healed.
His tummy had improved.
He was finally happy, playful and enjoying being a kitten.

And now this happened.

Completely out of nowhere.

And financially, we genuinely don’t know what to say anymore.

We were already drowning before this.

With vet bills, medication, food, ongoing rescue cases and emergency after emergency, we were already struggling badly to keep everything going.

Now?

It honestly feels like we have already drowned. 🤦🏻‍♀️💔

This is another completely unexpected vet bill, more X-rays, more consultations, more follow-ups, more medication, and now surgery on top of everything else.

We need help.

We really, really need help.

We need sponsors.
We need regular supporters.
We need people who can help with even a few pounds.
We need people to share.
We need someone to see Romeo and decide to help us keep going.

At this point, we genuinely feel like we need some kind of angel sent from heaven because we don’t know what else to do anymore.

Soua’d is exhausted.
The bills do not stop.
The emergencies do not stop.
And somehow the cats still keep needing us.

We cannot just turn our backs on them.

We cannot look at Romeo and say there is no money for his surgery.

But we also cannot keep pretending that we can somehow carry all of this alone.

So please, if you can help Romeo, please help us.

Even £5, £10 or anything at all adds up when enough people come together.

🐾🤍 THIS LITTLE BOY NEEDS HIS NEXT CHANCE - A FOREVER HOME 🤍🐾

Honestly…we know this might be a long shot.

This little boy is still at the vet, recovering from a broken leg that had become badly inflamed by the time he was rescued.

When we first found him outside, he was in pain and needed veterinary treatment immediately. Since then, he has been staying at the clinic receiving treatment, monitoring and care while his little leg heals.

And thankfully…he’s getting better. 🥹🤍

He doesn’t even have a name yet.

For now, he’s simply our little fighter. 🐾

💛 HIS RECOVERY

His leg has been responding to treatment and we’re finally seeing improvement.

He is still under veterinary care, but if everything continues going well, he is expected to be discharged from the vet within the next few days.

And this is where we thought…

Maybe, just maybe, someone will see him at exactly the right time. 🥹

Because instead of being discharged without knowing what comes next, how beautiful would it be if his next destination could eventually be home?

🏡 LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME

We know this is a long shot, especially because we are only just beginning his adoption search.

But if anyone has been thinking about adopting a rescue kitten and feels something when they see this little face…now would be the perfect time to reach out. 🤍

He has already experienced the pain of surviving outside with a broken and inflamed leg.

We would love for the next chapter of his life to look completely different.

Safe.

Loved.

Spoiled.

And finally home. 🏡🐾

🤍 ABOUT OUR LITTLE BOY

🐾 Indoor-only home required
🐾 Currently based in the UAE
🐾 International adoption can be discussed ✈️

More information about his vaccinations, neutering and travel readiness will be shared with serious potential adopters as his recovery progresses.

And yes…he still needs a name. 🥹

Maybe his future family will be the ones who get to give him one. 🤍

📍 Location: Dubai, UAE

💛 HIS PERFECT HOME

After everything he has already been through, we are looking for a loving, patient and committed forever family.

Someone who understands that adopting a rescue means choosing them not only when they’re tiny and adorable, but for their entire life.

We want him to grow up never having to worry about where he will sleep, where his next meal will come from, or whether someone will protect him again.

We know finding that person may take time.

But sometimes the right person sees the right little soul at exactly the right moment.

So we’re trying. 🤍

20/08/2026

🧸💔 COULD TEDDY’S PERSON BE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE?

This is a long shot. We know it is.

But we have been thinking about Teddy constantly, and we cannot stop asking ourselves whether somewhere out there is a person who might look at his little face and simply know:

“I’ll wait for him.”

We wish we had beautiful photographs of Teddy curled up on a sofa, playing with toys or sleeping somewhere warm to introduce him with.

We don’t.

These are the only photographs we have, because Teddy’s story with us so far has been hospital cages, treatment and survival.

We desperately want his next photographs to look very different. ❤️‍🩹

💔 TEDDY WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BECOME OUR CASE

Someone had initially asked us to help get Teddy to the veterinary clinic, with the understanding that they would take responsibility for his case.

We did what was asked. Teddy was caught and taken to the vet.

But once the true extent of his injuries became clear - along with how much treatment he would need and how expensive his care was likely to become - that person pulled out.

And suddenly, Teddy’s entire case was left with us.

His treatment.

His hospitalisation.

His surgeries.

His recovery.

His bills.

And ultimately, his future.

We were already overwhelmed. We had no space. We already had thousands in veterinary costs.

But Teddy was sitting in a clinic badly injured and depending on somebody.

What were we supposed to do?

Walk away too?

We couldn’t.

So Teddy became ours to fight for. 💔

🧸 NOW WE NEED TO FIGHT FOR HIS FUTURE TOO

Teddy is preparing for removal of his damaged eye and skin flap surgery, followed by approximately 10–15 days of recovery if everything goes well.

While the vets work on healing his body, we are desperately trying to work out what happens afterwards.

Because the truth is heartbreaking:

We have absolutely nowhere for Teddy to go.

Our rescuer’s home is completely full. We have appealed repeatedly for volunteer foster homes locally in Dubai, but nobody has come forward for him.

We are still trying.

But Teddy deserves more than for us to reach the end of everything we have fought for medically and then have no future waiting for him.

So we are taking a chance and asking something bigger.

❤️ COULD SOMEBODY OPEN THEIR HOME TO TEDDY FOREVER?

Maybe somebody will see him and fall in love.

Maybe you are not looking for a cat immediately, but you could be willing to wait for Teddy while he heals, completes his veterinary treatment and is prepared for travel.

If the right person comes along, we would love nothing more than to prepare Teddy properly and send him to the safe, loving forever home he deserves once he is fully recovered and medically ready.

He has already been let down once when helping him became difficult and expensive.

We desperately do not want him to be let down again.

Teddy deserves somebody who will look beyond the missing eye and see the beautiful little life behind it.

Somebody who will wait for him.

Somebody who will choose him despite everything he has been through.

Somebody who will finally give him the security he has never had. 🥹❤️

We know finding that person may take time.

But after everything Teddy has survived, he deserves us to try.

We are still waiting for Teddy’s complete veterinary bill, which will include his treatment, surgeries, hospitalisation and recovery. Once we receive it, we will continue sharing his costs transparently as we always do.

And if you cannot donate, please simply share Teddy’s story.

That one share could reach the person we are desperately hoping exists.

Teddy was never supposed to become our responsibility.

His case was effectively left in our hands when the person originally intending to help withdrew once the reality of his treatment became clear.

But Teddy didn’t choose any of this.

He didn’t choose his injuries.

He didn’t choose to be abandoned with a huge medical problem.

And he certainly doesn’t deserve to be the one who pays the price for it.

We chose to stay.

Now we desperately want somebody else to choose Teddy too.

Maybe the next photograph we share of him could finally be Teddy sleeping safely in his own home.

PLEASE HELP us find his person.

SOMEONE WHO will look at him and say:

“Heal first, little one. I’ll be waiting for you.” 🧸❤️‍🩹
