Over the past few weeks, we’ve been busy installing and commissioning this stunning custom aquarium in Wimbledon, London.

Our team has managed the entire project, from the initial design and construction through to installation, commissioning and the introduction of livestock.

We’re incredibly pleased with how the finished aquarium has turned out and, alongside our client, look forward to watching it develop and mature over the coming years.

It’s been a busy week in the workshop, with several bespoke aquariums under construction for our clients.

This particular build features our signature 45 degree mitred corners, low-iron viewing panels and a double base.

We hope you enjoy watching the process of a build like this!

We’re excited to share our latest trip to 🪸

Over the past four years, we’ve built a strong partnership with the incredible team at .

In early 2023, we installed their dedicated coral spawning system, which has since been used successfully each year. Fast forward to November 2024, and we were back at Six Senses Laamu installing our V-shaped coral raceways.

Now, in 2026, we’ve returned once again to install our latest concept, continuing to develop the systems and infrastructure supporting their coral restoration work.

V Shape Coral Raceways are purpose-built coral restoration systems designed to improve water flow, coral husbandry and the efficient grow-out of juvenile and fragmented corals.

In early 2022, Aquarium Connections designed and developed the V Shape Coral Raceway concept to provide coral restoration facilities like six senses, with scalable systems for coral propagation, juvenile coral grow-out and microfragmentation. By the end of the 2027 we will have installed our systems in over 4 facilities in the Maldives alone! 🇲🇻

The V-shaped design uses sloped walls to optimise water flow around the corals while leaving an open central channel for continuous circulation and the removal of sediment and detritus. Specially designed maternity trays position coral fragments along the sloped walls and can be moved, removed and maintained throughout the grow-out process.

We’re proud to say that our V Shaped Coral Raceways are now used within coral restoration projects and facilities internationally, including systems designed for coral spawning, coral propagation, microfragmentation and juvenile coral grow-out.

To learn more about V Shape Coral Raceways, how they work and why they were developed please check out our website where we have a page dedicated to this technology 😁
