What a glorious, sun-soaked morning for event #162 at Barking Park! ☀️🌳

29 amazing superstars walked, jogged, ran, and smiled their way through our 2km course today! The sun was shining, energy was sky-high, and the Sunday vibes were truly unmatched! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️✨

Here are the fantastic stats from today's event:

👏 29 Fantastic Finishers: Every single one of you did an incredible job!

🌟 5 First Timers: Welcome to the parkrun family! We hope you loved your very first junior parkrun and can't wait to see you back next week.

🚀 4 Brand New PBs: Huge congratulations to the 4 juniors who smashed their personal bests today!

🧡 A MASSIVE Thank You to Our Hi-Vis Heroes!

An event like today only happens thanks to our fabulous volunteer team.

A huge round of applause to our Run Directors, Leigh Li and Simon Leung Chester, and all 20 of our wonderful volunteers who cheered, scanned, marshaled, and kept everyone safe!

Thanks to all of our families for their patience this morning after the slight delay with getting the key for the container (🫣🥴). The volunteer team were amazing; operating as a well oiled machine like a Formula One pit stop and set up in 2 mins 43 seconds flat 🤩😮🙌🏽.

What a glorious morning for Event 161 at Barking Park! The sun was shining, the vibes were high, and 27 amazing young runners, joggers, walkers, and hoppers brought so much energy to our 2km course today! ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

you were all absolute superstars! We were delighted to welcome 2 first timers to the Barking junior parkrun family (we hope you had a blast!), and an incredible 7 of you smashed your Personal Bests! 🏆👏

☀️ What a glorious, sun-drenched morning for event 160 at Barking Park! The weather was hot, the smiles were big, and 27 amazing junior parkrunners ran, walked, hopped, and skipped their way around our 2k course! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

A massive round of applause to our wonderful Run Director, James Byers, for keeping everything running smoothly in the heat! 👏

Huge congratulations to Kara, who reached an incredible 100 volunteer milestone today! 💯🎉 Thank you so much for your amazing dedication to our parkrun family - 100 events wearing hi-vis is a truly fantastic achievement! Kara received her free 100 junior volunteer wristband. 🧡

What a sizzling Sunday at Barking Park! ☀️🌳

Event #159 was full of sunshine, massive smiles, and incredible energy as 28 superstars walked, jogged and ran their way across the finish line!

A huge welcome to our 3 First Timers joining the parkrun family today, and a massive high-five to the 9 rapid runners who bagged a new Personal Best in that heat! Magnificent effort, everyone! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💨

Congratulations to Maria who received her 10 milestone wristband. 🩵

A bit of a long shot,but this fairly distinctive bottle was left in the cafe today after Barking junior parkrun . We have it with our kit, available on Saturday otherwise we will pass it on to juniors for next Sunday.

What a scorching Sunday morning at Barking Park! ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A massive well done to all 44 energetic finishers who joined us today for Event 158! It was hot and sunny, but you all brought the cool energy, big smiles, and fantastic determination. Whether you ran, walked, jogged, or skipped your way around the 2km course, we are so proud of every single one of you! 🌳✨

Remember junior parkrun is a great way to keep moving throughout the Summer and at Barking juniors, you get the bonus of a free splash session at 10am on Sunday during August with your barcode and result (2 adults and 1 junior).
