Spent the festive in-between days with Teddy and Woofus — two beautiful rescue Black Labradors who made the quiet stretch between Christmas and New Year feel extra special 🐾🎄✨

These two were the perfect holiday companions: gentle, affectionate, and always nearby, making sure no snack went unmonitored and no sofa went unused 😂. Whether it was peaceful pottering around the house, leisurely strolls, or simply sharing the calm of the season, they settled into the routine like pros.

Pet sitting Teddy and Woofus felt wonderfully grounding. There’s something about Labradors that makes everything slow down just enough — and with two of them, the warmth was doubled. Their soft eyes, steady presence, and easy companionship turned those post-Christmas days into something really lovely.

Spent half a week with Lucy — a 1 year 9 month old Cocker Spaniel with the softest ears, the sweetest eyes, and a heart that just needed a little time to warm up 🐾💛

At the beginning, Lucy was understandably a bit nervous, quietly taking everything in and keeping a careful eye on this new human in her space. But it didn’t take long at all — once she realised she was safe and understood the routine, her confidence bloomed and suddenly we were inseparable.

Pet sitting Lucy became a joy-filled mix of gentle check-ins, happy wiggles, and that wonderful moment when a dog decides, “okay, you’re my person now.” From following me from room to room to settling down nearby with those soulful spaniel eyes, she made herself completely at home.

By the end of the week, the nerves were long gone and replaced with trust, affection, and plenty of best-friend energy. Lucy may have started shy, but she finished as the most loyal little sidekick — and honestly, she stole my heart along the way 🐶✨

Spent a wonderful week looking after Winnie — a 6.5-year-old Carpathian Shepherd/Collie mix with the calm confidence of a mountain guardian and the quiet, steady presence of a dog who knows exactly who she is 🐾⛰️

Sitting Winnie was all about sharing peaceful, intentional moments together. She moves with purpose, always observing her surroundings with those thoughtful eyes that seem to notice everything — the slightest rustle of leaves, the sound of distant footsteps, or a patch of grass that deserves her attention. Winnie isn’t one for doggy greetings or chaotic energy, and that’s completely fine — she knows her boundaries and trusts you to respect them.

During our time together, even the smallest gestures felt meaningful. A slow blink from her, a patient nudge, or simply sitting nearby while she calmly surveyed the room reminded me how thoughtful and composed she truly is. Every meal, every walk around her garden, and every quiet moment indoors became part of a gentle rhythm we shared.

Winnie has the grace and presence of a seasoned explorer. She may be a rescue girl, but she carries herself with confidence and poise, showing that trust and companionship are earned, not demanded. Pet sitting her was a privilege — each day with Winnie felt like a quiet adventure, full of Carpathian magic, steady energy, and gentle wisdom 🐕💛

Throwing it back to September when Alex headed back to Poland — not for a holiday, not for pierogi… but to serve two Ukrainian chihuahuas, Fino and Silver, as their full-time butler for a whole month 🇵🇱🐾🇺🇦

These two tiny bosses may weigh about the same as a loaf of bread, but they run a household with the confidence of royalty. Within a day, Alex had been appointed Head of Snacks, Chief Blanket Arranger, and Minister of Zoomies. Every update he sent looked like a diplomatic report from ‘The Chihuahua Embassy’ — complete with snack disputes, zoomie treaties, as well as one failed negotiation over bed space and at least one attempted coup over who gets the warmest blanket 😂

While I held down the Fluffy Matter fort in London, Alex spent September deep in international chihuahua politics. By the time he came home, he’d mastered the art of tiny-dog diplomacy and earned the full trust of his pint-sized clients.

Last time throwing it back to July with Adhoc walks with Oso. He had himself a double-walk🐾💨 We were joined by this time, who took some amazing photos, including this one which he has allowed me to share.

One in the Afternoon, one in the Evening —and he tackled both like a champ. The first round was a full sniff-ari 🔎🌳, complete with wiggles and zooms. By the second, you’d think he might slow down… but nope, Oso came charging out like it was walkies 1.0 all over again 😂.

I’m still convinced he’s part rocket, part detective, and part stand-up comedian. Every outing with him is equal parts adventure and entertainment. Two walks, countless sniffs, endless zoomies… and one very happy pup. Oso’s July motto? If at first you don’t succeed, walk, walk again ✨🐶

Say hello to Theo 🐾—a high-energy mystery mix with rescue roots, a spring in his step, and absolutely *no* chill (in the best way possible 😄).

Back in July, I had the joy of being his stand-in walker while his usual human was away—and let’s just say, Theo made it very clear that walk time = *go time* 🚀💨.

These days, I still get to catch up with him for the occasional zoom-fuelled walk or drop-in session, and it’s always non-stop fun from the second I arrive.

Estimated to be around 4.5 years old, Theo is the kind of dog who greets life at full throttle: every scent is a story, every leaf is a potential game, and every dog we pass is a new best friend waiting to happen 🐶🌪️

He might not be a daily client anymore, but when Theo’s on the schedule, I know it’s going to be an energetic adventure—powered by paws, zoomies, and pure joy.

Had the absolute joy of hanging out with Cody for a few hours—a 7-year-old Labradoodle who fully embodies the phrase *gentle giant* 🐾🧡 With his floofy frame, big heart, and even bigger enthusiasm for making new friends, Cody is basically a walking teddy bear with a social calendar to maintain.

Whether it’s a tiny terrier or a bounding shepherd, Cody wants to meet them all—tail wagging, tongue lolling, ready to play like it’s a full-on dog park party 🎉🐶 His energy is playful, but his manners are impeccable. He’s the type of dog who could defuse any drama just by existing and blinking slowly at it.

Our few hours together were filled with soft nudges, play bows, and a few flops in the grass when the zoomies wore off. 10/10 would sit again. Cody, you big-hearted fluffball—you’re everyone’s new best friend.

Back in July I was back with my good pal Bruno 🐾💙—the strong, silent type who doesn’t need constant cuddles to show he cares. Bruno’s a classic Staffie: solid, soulful, and happiest just having someone around who respects the art of simply *being*.
He doesn’t beg for attention, but he’ll always keep one eye on you—just in case there’s a snack involved 🍪👀. He loves a gentle stroll, a comfy spot to lounge, and the occasional zoomie to remind you there’s still puppy energy under all that muscle.

Sitting for Bruno feels less like a job and more like hanging out with an old mate—one who doesn’t say much but definitely enjoys the company. Quiet loyalty, steady vibes, and a face that says “I don’t *need* you here... but I’m glad you are.” 🐶💤

Back on duty with my two favourite Scottish ladies—Willa and Teign 🖤🖤, the 7-year-old Scottie sisters who know exactly what they want… and expect it delivered with style. These girls aren’t just dogs—they’re a full-on mood: low to the ground, high in standards, and dressed permanently in the finest black fur coats.

Teign's the bold one—queen of the side-eye, toy guardian, and unapologetic in her sass. Willa is pure elegance with a stubborn streak, offering the occasional affectionate nudge when she decides *you’ve earned it* 🐾👑.

Sitting for them never feels like work—it’s more like being staff in their royal residence. From structured garden patrols 🌳 to sofa snuggles (on *their* terms, obviously), every visit is full of Scottie charm and side-by-side sister power. Long may they reign! 🐶🐶✨

Just a few hours with Winnie the mini Labradoodle 🐾—and somehow she managed to steal my heart *and* half the couch 😄💛

At 1 year and 4 months old, she’s basically joy on four legs: equal parts curly chaos, cuddle queen, and zoomie enthusiast.

From the moment I walked in, she was ready to party—tail wagging like a metronome on espresso ☕💃 and eyes sparkling with 'let’s do EVERYTHING right now!' energy. We squeezed a full day of fun into just a few hours: treat sniffs, toy flings, dramatic flops, and expert-level head tilts 😍

Winnie may be mini in size, but her personality is maximum fluff and full-throttle love. A whirlwind of wiggles and wags—and I already can’t wait for next time 🐶✨
