We have some very sad news to share with you.
Last week we said goodbye to Shuri.
Shuri was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) back in April.
We decided against amputation due to Shuris size and blindness. Daily pain relief with increasing doses kept her comfortable until this was no longer enough.
Have avoided posting any updates on Shuri and this post as it makes it more real.
What a beautiful dog, one of the best. Couldn't fault her in any way.
She was loved by every one who met her and was always pleased to meet anyone and everyone. So gentle.
She loved her toys, her food and her treats.
An advocate for her breed.
Absolutely gutted Shuri is no longer with us.
Shuri is and will be sorely missed. We have hundreds of pictures and videos of her we will always treasure.
The vet came to the sanctuary and Shuri went to sleep in her own home where it was quiet and comfortable for her.
She ate an entire pack of bourbon biscuits and enjoyed every crumb! Swallowing the last 4 biscuits whole.
