🐾 Bank Holiday cuddles 🐾
We hope you’re having a lovely long weekend! 💛 These two gorgeous Burmese beauties certainly know how to make a day at the vets a little bit more special. 😻😻

We’re taking a little Bank Holiday break too, so the practice is closed Monday and back open as usual from Tuesday.

And to all the families getting ready for the return to school over the coming week - good luck with the early starts, packed lunches and finding those missing school shoes! 📚🎒✨

🌡️🐾 HEATWAVE SNOOZES! 🐾🌡️
While it might be scorching outside, our little patients are keeping cool in our lovely air-conditioned clinic! ❄️💙

Just look at this gorgeous little pug puppy, fast asleep in the vet’s hands. 🥹💤 What a beautiful start to the patient : vet relationship. 🫶🏼

Because even during a heatwave, vet visits should feel safe, calm and comfortable. 🐶❤️

☀️ A reminder for all pet parents: keep walks short and early/late in the day, make sure fresh water is always available, and never leave your pet in a hot car… not even for a minute.

Stay cool, stay safe and keep those precious pups comfortable! 🐾❄️

✋🐾 High five for the weekend!

☀️ Northcote Road Summer Festival 2026 🐾🌈

What a fantastic weekend we had at the Northcote Road Summer Festival last Sunday!

It was a pleasure meeting so many familiar faces, as well as welcoming plenty of new ones to The London Vet. We loved chatting about pet health, introducing our complimentary Puppy & Kitten Health Checks, and answering all your questions about welcoming a new furry family member.

We also had lots of fun handing out dog biscuits and our rather popular tote bags, setting up a paddling pool to help keep hot paws cool, and making the most of the pedestrianised road with rainbow chalk, which kept little artists busy throughout the day. 🌈🐶

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, brought their four-legged friends to visit us, or simply joined in the fun. An even bigger thank you goes to the team who gave up their weekend to make the day such a success, and to my family, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in making the clinic what it is today. A special mention also goes to the littlest member of our clan, who attended her very first community event at just a few months old! Community events like these remind us why we love being an independent practice at the heart of Northcote Road.

Thanks again, and we’ll see you soon – either at our next community event or around Northcote Road! 💙🐾

🌞 We’re so excited to be opening our doors and joining in with the wonderful community spirit of the Northcote Road Summer Festival tomorrow! 🐾

As your local independent vets, we’ll be located at the clinic throughout the day, 176 Northcote Road! Pop in to meet the team, find out a little more about what we do, or simply stop by for a good old chin wag with familiar faces we haven’t caught up with in a while.

Our fabulous tote bags are back - with a fun new twist! 🛍️ We’ve also got plenty to keep the little ones entertained, and with London enjoying a proper summer heatwave, our air conditioning will be on full blast - so do pop in, cool off for a few minutes, and say hello! ❄️☀️

Nothing brightens our day quite like seeing a happy patient leaving with a wagging tail and a smile. Moments like these are why we do what we do.

As a single branch, independent practice, we have the time to get to know every pet and every family who walks through our doors. Whether it’s a routine check-up or a more complex visit, we’re committed to making every experience as calm, gentle and reassuring as possible, while always putting your pet’s comfort and wellbeing first.

🌡️ Current clinic status: Happily Air-conditioned. 💪
While London continues its impressive attempt to become the Mediterranean, we’re staying cool indoors and extending a warm welcome (without the actual warmth) to anyone passing by. 🤗
So dearest clients, if you’re already out on Northcote Road, we’d love to see you - pop in, say hello, and enjoy a few minutes of air-conditioned bliss. 🫶🏼
🐾 As much as we love seeing our furry friends, this heatwave is a good reminder that our pets are happiest, and safest, staying somewhere cool and shaded, rather than joining for errands and shopping trips. Of course, if your pet is poorly or needs our help, we’re here and open as usual. ❤️

A calm, comfortable patient is always our goal. 🐾

We know that, historically, vet visits haven’t always been a positive experience for every pet. Many dogs arrive expecting something unfamiliar or stressful, which is why we put so much emphasis on creating a calm, welcoming environment from the moment they walk through our doors.

Building trust takes time, but it starts with a gentle approach, patience, and helping pets feel safe and comfortable during their visit.

This lovely patient was relaxed, alert, and happy to spend time with one of our vets… exactly what we hope to see. When pets feel at ease, we can focus on what matters most: providing the best possible care.

🌧️🐩 Happy Weekend from all of us!
A little London drizzle is no reason to stay indoors when you’ve got the right raincoat and plenty of enthusiasm for a walk. This happy Standard Poodle is making the most of the weekend, proving that rainy days can be just as fun as sunny ones.
🌱 As grass seed season is now upon us, don’t forget to check your dog’s paws, ears, and coat after walks, especially if you’ve been exploring long grass or meadows. 🌱 Catching grass seeds early can help prevent discomfort and avoid a trip to the vet.
Whatever your plans this weekend, we hope you and your pets enjoy plenty of fresh air, fun adventures, and quality time together.
