💚 We’re proud to be partnering with the Wandsworth Breastfeeding Friendly Scheme.

We’ve always welcomed mothers to feed their little ones anywhere around Battersea Park Children’s Zoo, or in our quieter indoor family room if they’d prefer a more peaceful space.

We’re excited to officially join the scheme, which recognises venues committed to welcoming and supporting breastfeeding families. It also helps ensure staff understand the importance of breastfeeding and the protections parents have when feeding in public.

Every family should feel comfortable and welcome at the zoo, and we’re proud to support that commitment! 💚

💧 CORPORATE DAY WITH ACTIPH WATER 💧

We would like to say a very big thank you to the team from Actiph Water who took part in a company away day at the zoo last week!

Antonio, Meg and Bradley were such a massive help and really got stuck into their repainting task - our capuchin monkey enclosure base has never looked better! ❤️

We’d also like to say a massive thank you for sending over some of your brilliant waters for us to try 💧 Our keeper team are very grateful - particularly on a hot day like today! ☀️

Thanks team Actiph Water for a great day! 💙

Happy international zookeeper day to our incredible animal team! 💚

🐒 Today we are celebrating the amazing work of our amazing animal team, and the collective effort that modern zoo keepers across the globe play in the fight against extinction.

💪🏼 Our zoo is the special place it is today because of the diverse skills our zookeepers bring to work each and every day! They are animal behaviourists, researchers, expert-poo pickers, vet nurses, chefs, trainers, inventors, public-speakers, teachers, gardeners and pro coffee and tea makers… And don’t even get us started on what they can achieve with a pack of cable ties!

💚So today we want to say thank you to our team, Jamie, Lizzy, James, Eliza, Jack, Emma & Tali!

We’d also like to extend our thanks to our fabulous colleagues at our sister site The New Forest Wildlife Park ❤️

🥰Thank you for the countless days working in the pouring rain, thank you for always going above and beyond and thank you for the love and passion you bring each and every day to our animals and our visitors.

Given we asked for the perfect nocturnal, arboreal carnivore, we’re amazed nature hasn’t produced something like this yet…

Zoo education can be a wild ride 😂
