What did you do at work last week? 🐶🧹🌧️

Clair (Practice Manager) and Katie (Wellness Centre Manager) swapped workwear for a dog costume, along with our management team, to join Beresford Estate Agents and Brentwood Connected, Brentwood School Students, plus other businesses, so up to 100 amazing volunteers for the CommuniTEA Clean Up! 🐕🚮

Braving every type of rain imaginable, local businesses pulled together and collected over 50 bags of rubbish around the town centre! 🌧️💪🚯

At Wylies, community and environment go hand in hand 💚♻️ Since 2023 Wylies has been awarded the Green (top level) award from Investors in the Environment (with a 75% carbon reduction since 2019! 🏆🌿), we couldn't say no to getting involved, so thanks for having us 🙌🪣

We didn't get many pictures 🤦‍♀️ (photo ops are hard in paws! 🐾) but check out the video below! 👇🎬🐾♻️

🎆 Firework Season is Approaching: Is Your Pet Ready? 🎆

Firework season can be stressful for pets, but starting early makes a huge difference!

Check out Nurse Nic’s quick 90 second video below for simple, non medical ways to help reduce anxiety and create a safe haven at home.

🔍 Signs of Stress to Watch For:
🐶 Dogs: Pacing, panting, trembling, hiding, barking, or refusing to go outside after dark.
🐱 Cats: Hiding, excessive grooming, crouching low with wide eyes, or changes in toilet habits.

🏷️ Top Tip: Make sure your contact details are up to date on your pet's microchip registry in case they bolt when startled, this is essential all year round!

🩺 Need Stronger Support?
We recommend trying non medical desensitisation first. However, if your pet experiences severe fear, non medical steps may not be enough. Make an appointment with one of our amazing vets to discuss tailored medical solutions to keep them calm and safe.

We had the most adorable visitor today! 🐾 Meet Boycie, a tiny 9-week-old bundle of fluff who popped in to see us.

He was so happy to say hello to everyone; his tail was a blur, and it’s safe to say he has already completely perfected the puppy eyes! 🥺 We didn't stand a chance. After all that excitement, he even settled right down for a cosy little nap mid-cuddle. 💤

Well done, Boycie! Such a brave, relaxed boy. ❤️

Oh my golden goodness, prepare your hearts! 🥺💛

We had a very important appointment on the books for a 6-month health check as part of our Wylie Prevention Plan, but things got a little bit derailed by the cutest tiny gatecrasher...

Enter Rosie! This impossibly fluffy Golden Retriever puppy rolled into the clinic in her very own pram to support her sister, Bonnie, and she immediately took over the entire building. From demanding cuddles from the team to bringing the whole consultation room to a standstill, Rosie was the main event, and she absolutely knew it.

I mean, just look at her... how could anyone possibly resist that sweet face? 😍

Warning: Extreme cuteness ahead! 🐾

Meet Dobby, the impossibly cute dachshund puppy who completely stole all of our hearts. This tiny guy came in to see our Head Vet, Gemma, for his general health check, and he was an absolute superstar.

From the tip of his little snoot to his waggy tail, Dobby was such a brave boy throughout his entire exam! Gemma checked him over from head to paw to make sure he is growing up healthy, happy, and strong—and Dobby paid her back with the sweetest puppy kisses.

We love nothing more than watching these little ones grow, and Dobby is definitely off to the best possible start. Sending lots of love to this courageous little sausage 💖🐕💖
