When you get the call up from THE and my amazing charity partners to run the world’s deepest marathon, it’s quite hard to say no!!!
So here it goes! In just 100 days I’ll be running a full marathon, 26.2 miles all below ground at a crazy depth of 1,150 metres (that’s about 4x the height of the shard).
I’m honoured to be selected for this WORLD RECORD BREAKING run, heading to Boliden’s Garlenberg mine in Sweden with 60 other incredible competitors, coming in from 17 countries across the world.
With no natural light, only head torches to guide the way, temperatures reaching 30°C, and running in complete silence, this extreme challenge will test my every limit.

I’ll be running for Wild At Heart, a charity so close to my own heart, to shine a light on the 675 million stray dogs around the world who spend their lives in fear, suffering and uncertainty. Through this extraordinary challenge, i’m raising vital funds to support sterilisation, education and welfare initiatives, helping to create a safer and kinder world for vulnerable dogs worldwide.
