Do you know the signs that your dog might be feeling stressed? 👇
Dogs can’t tell us when something is making them feel overwhelmed, so it’s important to pay attention to the little changes in their behaviour and body language.
Some common signs to look out for can include:
🐾 Panting when they haven’t been exercising or aren’t hot
🐾 Pacing or restlessness and struggling to settle
🐾 Excessive licking or repeated behaviours
🐾 Yawning when they aren’t tired
🐾 Whining or increased barking
🐾 Hiding or trying to move away from a situation
🐾 Changes in body language, like pinned-back ears or a tucked tail
🐾 **Shaking or trembling**
🐾 **Changes in their usual behaviour or routine**
Every dog is different, so one of the best things you can do is get to know what’s normal for *your* dog.
If you know you’re heading into a situation your dog can find challenging, whether that’s travelling, a change in routine or an unfamiliar environment, a little extra support can help.
