Remember to eat your veggies🥦

Effy is on a weight management diet so she loves a treat when she’s allowed it, whether this be dreamies, lickilix or some of our lunch!
We know cats are obligate carnivores which means they need meat to survive. Cats are unable to make certain vital nutritients on their own (such as taurine) so they need the meat to get this.
That being said, this piece of broccoli went down a treat🐱

If any of our clients have old dog leads or old and rewear able children’s clothes that they no longer need, please feel free to drop some to the clinic!

Our head nurse, Katie, will be heading to South Africa at the end of October with some colleagues in support of the Wilderness Foundation that Medivet support and during this time will be visiting an orphanage and assisting in neutering stray dogs🐾

Last week we had the pleasure of meeting Poppy, who visited us to beat the heat whilst her pawrent was with us for the day on a placement shadowing our vets.

She spent the day having lots of cuddles, showing us she can carry multiple toys at once and trying to help around the clinic🥹

‼️WARNING - GRAPHIC VIDEO OF PROCEDURE ‼️

Meet Apollo!💙 Apollo recently visited us as he had a needle under the skin, by his shoulder. Watch the video to see us detect this on our ultrasound and remove this safely with him under a general anaesthetic💉

Apollo was so brave and his wound is now healing very well!👏🏻

Monty trying to keep his cool when the food arrives💙

Not all of our patients will eat whilst staying with us as it is a strange environment so it’s lovely to see when they feel comfortable to eat😍

Post-sedation munch🍽️

One of the medications we use in our sedations often have an increased appetite effect. Here we have the handsome Flat who was a nervous boy when he arrived. After his sedation he was enticed out of his bed for a tasty meal.

The sound of him eating is so cute!😻
