Lovely Saturn was in recently to collect there next three monthly dose of worming treatment.

Regular worming and flea treatment is very important as it ensure that your pet stays protected from parasites such as fleas and worms

*Fleas can also very quickly multiply in home environments and can cause bites and skin irritation to both pets and humans.

They also help to prevent fight serious illnesses such as lungworm which can be life treating if left untreated.

Lovely Narli was in recently as she had a sore eye.

Despite being a bit nervous for her appointment she was very well behaved for eye exam and loved our liver treats.

She was sent home with some medicated eye drops to make her eye feel a lot better ❤️

🐕Happy National Dog Day everyone 🐕

This is a special day to celebrate 🥳 man’s best friend.

Here are some fun weird and interesting facts all about our four legged friends:

1. Did you that Dalmatian puppies are born completely white.

2. Just like with Humans, dogs will favour using either their left or right paw 🐾

3. Did you know that no two dogs have the same nose pattern, just like with human fingerprints

4. Did you know that there are over 360 different breeds of dogs

5. Did you know that “Puppy dog eyes” are a real thing.

Scientific research has shown that dogs have special muscles around their eyes that they use to make expressions that us humans find appealing ❤️

🐾 Stray Cat 🐾

We have had an approximately 8 month old female Siberian cat handed in by a member of the public.

She was found in SE23

She is very friendly and in very good condition.

She is sadly not microchipped.

We would love to reunite her with her owners.

Poor Penny had a very unfortunate accident whilst out on a walk with her owners and managed to break all four bones in her foot 😢

As seen in the first X-Ray picture

Our wonderful orthopaedic surgeon Vincent was able to reset and stabilise the fractures by inserting four small pins into each of the toe bones.

Penny is the perfect patient she greats the team with lots of controlled wiggles and licks every time she comes in to get her leg bandage changed and her wound checked to make sure everything is healing well.

He was sent home with some medicated shampoo and some calming medication to help him remain comfortable at night.

Found cat

We have had a adult female tabby cat handed in by a member of the public.

She was found on Burgoyne Road Se26.

She is in poor body condition, very skinny and dehydrated.
She is friendly so we do believe she has been owned at some point.

She is currently receiving vet treatment but we really would like to find her owner.

She was also sadly not microchipped.

Please get in contact if she sound like your cat.

This beautiful boy was in recently for a dental procedure 🦷.

He had to have 5 teeth removed.

Did you know that dental disease in cats is very common especially as they get older due to wear and tear of their teeth throughout life.

As cats are very good at hiding any pain most cats won’t start showing any symptoms until the dental disease has become severe.

Some of the signs of dental disease are:

1. Bad breathe

2. Difficultly eat or eating on one side of the mouth

3. Weight loss / reduced appetite

4. Drooling

5. Swelling around the face, mouth and cheeks

6. Grooming less

If your cat has any of these signs or you are concerned about your cat’s teeth, please call us to arrange an appointment.

Gorgeous puppy Tobago was in recently for his 2nd vaccination and health check 💉

Puppy vaccinations are very important as they ensure that puppies are protected from highly contagious and potential fatal diseases such as:

1. Canine Parvovirus
2. Distemper
3. Leptospirosis (which can also passed onto people)
4. Infectious Canine hepatitis

As Tobago has now had his 2nd vaccination, in a weeks time he will be able to start going out for walks and meeting other dogs.
