At Off Leash K9 Training London our trainers cover a vast range of commands during the dogs time with us. Things like Heel, Down, Place, Off and Recall, however training the dog to smile is not one of those. Some dogs are naturals and others.... have a few teeth issues!

Despite Hannah our Head Trainers best efforts, Zoe the Labrador couldn't get her bottom teeth to not show in her pictures!

There seems to be a 'National Day of' for nearly everything these days.

Today is no exception with today being 'National Watermelon Day!'

The day is mainly celebrated in America and in participation, Ghost couldn't help proudly pose with a watermelon.

(So AI might have had a small hand in creating this picture but Ghost gave his permission to be used in it! Who knew how hard it would be to get a dog posing with a full watermelon would be!)

Louie the White Swiss Shepherd recently completed his 2 Week Reactive Board and Train with our Trainer Andrea.

He could be a bit nervous around certain situations such as other dogs wanting to come and say hi or men, especially tall men, moving around him and his natural instinct was to bark at them. With how big Louie was this often was seen as aggressive where as once they were close he was more than happy to say hello.

During the 2 Weeks Andrea took Louie to all kinds of locations so that he could interact with other people and dogs and with his one ear up and one ear down look you can imagine lots of people wanted to come and say hello.

Louie passed his training with flying colours and is now a lot more confident in his day to day interactions with people and other dogs.

Do you worry about taking your dog into social situations and what the outcome may be? Or find yourself going out for walks at odd times to avoid seeing other people/dogs in case a situation happens? Do you want to be able to go to the pub with you’re dog to enjoy a drink?
