Rottweilers: Ideal for Canine Behaviourists? Absolutely not. Big teddy bears? Think again.
The real Rottweiler isnā€™t the soft, squishy lap dog social media often paints them to be. They are wonderful, powerful, purpose-driven guard dogs with instincts that run deep and thatā€™s exactly why they demand respect, understanding, and the right kind of owner.
A true Rottweiler needs more than love and a nice garden. They need structure, clarity, and outlets for their intrinsic behavioursā€¦protection, vigilance, strength, and confidence. A couple of well-planned exercise sessions each day, paired with mental work and boundaries, isnā€™t optionalā€¦ itā€™s essential.
They are not for the faint-hearted or the casually committed. If you truly understand them, if you meet their needs with consistency and fairness, and if you celebrate who they really are rather than trying to mould them into something theyā€™re notā€¦
ā€¦then you just might discover that a well-bred, well-trained Rottweiler is one of the best dogs you could ever own.

Lord Montague is still waiting for a home, but tonight heā€™s warm, fed, safe, and lovedā€¦.and that makes him one of the very few lucky ones in a dog world that is collapsing.
Letā€™s stop sugar-coating it:
This industry is a sh*tshow.
People are dropping a minimum of Ā£2k on a dog and then tossing them away like yesterdayā€™s rubbish the moment theyā€™re ā€œtoo much work.ā€ And who gets left holding the fallout?
Rescues.
Exhausted, heartbroken, traumatised rescues.
People who are absorbing cruelty, neglect, and human irresponsibility on a daily basis while drowning under the weight of everyone elseā€™s chaos.
And guess what?
They canā€™t cope anymore.
Not emotionally. Not financially. Not physically.
Too many incredible people have been pushed past breaking point, and the rest are barely hanging on.
So here it isā€¦no fluff, no polite filters, no pretending:
Front up.
Step up.
Shut up.
Or put your money where your mouth is.
Because without real support and real accountability, there wonā€™t be anyone left to save the next Lord Montague or any of the thousands just like him.
This isnā€™t drama.
This is real. And itā€™s getting worse.
