As many of you know I've been training as a Galen Canine Myotherapist for a year and I'm delighted to say that after a lot of hard work, both with theory and the practical hands on training, I am now qualified!! I am thrilled as I absolutely love it - I've been lucky enough to have already worked on a few amazing dogs and every time I do, I get a real buzz - what an honour it is to be able to ease chronic pain and discomfort for a dog. Below is a brief outline of what Galen Myotherapy is.
'Galen Myotherapy is a hands on manual therapy which works on the dog's muscular system where issues can cause a huge amount of pain and discomfort. Galen Myotherapy promotes optimal muscle function through various techniques.'
This therapy can be used to ease symptoms and pain in multiple conditions including; osteoarthritis, hip or elbow dysplaysia, cruciate issues, unexplained lameness, stiffness, abnormal gait, reduced range of movement and many more.
