😻 Tiggy has a slightly worrying Pill Putty obsession… ❤️

Lovely Tiggy came to see us recently after becoming extremely itchy and scratching herself. We suspected a flea bite allergy with a secondary skin infection, so she needed some treatment to get that uncomfortable skin settled down.

Tiggy went home with steroids and antibiotics, as well as her flea and worm treatment. And while she was with us, we squeezed in a little claw clip too. A mini mani-pedi as part of the service. 💅🐾

Now, giving tablets to cats can sometimes require a certain amount of negotiation…

Not with Tiggy.

Tiggy has developed what can only be described as a worrying addiction to Pill Putty. 😂 She absolutely LOVES it and, as you can see from the photo, goes slightly wild when it appears.

“Medication? What medication? JUST GIVE ME THE PUTTY.” 😹

Fortunately, it makes medicating her incredibly easy, so everyone’s a winner!
We hope you’re feeling much less itchy now, gorgeous Tiggy. ❤️

🥰 Pliszka: snug as a bug after her dental ❤️

Beautiful Pliszka recently spent the day with us for a dental assessment under general anaesthetic. 🦷

While she was asleep, we took dental X-rays, carefully examined each tooth and gave her teeth a thorough clean. Thankfully, she only needed one tooth extracted, so she should now be feeling much more comfortable with a healthier mouth. ❤️

This photo was taken while Pliszka was coming round from her anaesthetic, and our priority was keeping her lovely and warm while she recovered.

So she was tucked up snug as a bug in plenty of cosy blankets, with the team keeping a close eye on her as she woke up. 🥹🐱

That slightly sleepy expression definitely says:

“I’ve had quite enough excitement for one day… please return me to my blankets.” 😴❤️

You were a little superstar, Pliszka. We hope you’re feeling much better with your freshly cleaned, healthier teeth! 🐾

😳 Shadow: “Wait… I’m here for WHAT?!” 🐾❤️

Gorgeous Shadow came to spend the day with us recently for his castration.

Looking at those enormous eyes, however, we’re not entirely convinced anyone had properly briefed him on the reason for his visit… 😂🐱

“I thought this was just a routine appointment?!” 👀

Despite the apparent communication breakdown, Shadow was an absolute superstar throughout and took everything in his stride. ⭐❤️

Well done, handsome Shadow. 🖤🤍

🐾❤️ Do You Recognise This Lovely Little Boy?

This handsome young cat was found in Gladstone Park, NW10, approximately 6 weeks ago and has been lovingly cared for by a kind member of the public ever since.

🐱 Approximately 6 months old, entire male.

He has a foreign microchip, but sadly it isn't registered, so we've been unable to trace his family.

We're hoping someone might recognise him and help us find out where he belongs. ❤️

🏡 He is safe and being cared for by his finder, not at our practice.

🥹 Artie just needed Mum’s hand ❤️

Gorgeous Arteta, also known as Artie, came to see us for a check-up and blood tests after having a little flare-up of his tummy troubles.

Before taking his blood sample, Dr Saskia applied some local anaesthetic cream to his neck to help make things as comfortable as possible.

And while he waited for it to work, Artie did something rather adorable… he simply rested his head in his mum’s hand. 🥹🐱❤️

Apparently, this isn’t just a vet-visit thing. His mum says he does it all the time at home too.

Sometimes your favourite person’s hand really is the best pillow in the world. 🥰
What an absolute sweetheart you are, Artie. We could have watched you snooze there all day! ❤️🐾

🐾 **FOUND DOG – CAN YOU HELP US REUNITE THIS LITTLE ONE WITH THEIR FAMILY?** 🧡

This lovely dog was found on **Old Oak Common Lane in Acton on Monday 19th October**, following an incident involving a car.

Unfortunately, although microchipped, the chip is not registered, so we have been unable to trace the owner.

The dog will be collected by the **Acton Dog Warden today**.

🐶 **Do you recognise this dog?** Please contact Roundwood Vets directly if you have any information. **Proof of ownership will be required.**

🙏 Please share, especially with our local Acton and West London community. Someone out there may be desperately searching for their much-loved companion. ❤️

😾 Ted’s recheck: great news… questionable enthusiasm! ❤️

Handsome Ted came to see us in September when he was castrated and also had a wound stitched up.

When he returned for his recheck, we were delighted to see that everything was healing really well, with no signs of infection. Ted had been incredibly brave through the whole experience. ❤️🐾

We were very happy to see him again.

Ted, however…

Judging by those ears and that expression, we’re not entirely convinced the feeling was mutual. 😂

And then we asked him to sit on the scales.

“You stitched me up, took away my dignity, and NOW you want my weight?” 😾

Sorry, Ted! The good news is that you were healing beautifully, and you were a very brave boy… even if your review of the service appears to be one star, pending further treats. ⭐😂❤️

😳 Uchie overheard something he really wasn’t supposed to… 😂

Handsome Uchie came to see us in September to be castrated, blissfully unaware of what the day had in store.

That was until he overheard Dr Jo saying he’d had his pockets picked… 😳🐱

Judging by Uchie’s expression, the penny dropped pretty quickly.

“His WHAT picked?!” 👀😂

Poor Uchie! Nobody had explained the plan beforehand, and we’re not entirely convinced he appreciated finding out quite like that.

Thankfully, everything went smoothly and our gorgeous boy recovered well. Although we suspect he’ll be listening very carefully to conversations at Roundwood Vets from now on! ❤️🐾
